Oh, it might very well all be in my head. But then again, maybe not. I had drinks last night and I still have a little bit of bloat below my belly button.
Kinda like an Old Man Winter.. cant really place my finger on it, caramel IPAish.. Im not in the mood for it, I want the Hazelnut Nectar but all out. Its drunkable..
They have one I like .. Long Trail Crannberry Gose .. by accident I picked up a few Great Lakes Christmas Ales.. Without noticing I thought I was drinking Edmund porter.. Im like wow this is kicking my ass quicker than shit tonight. Someone mixed the bottle to the cardboard 6er and I took it as it was on the outside without looking til I was 3 deep...
Sam Adams Octoberfest in November! (I actually drop kicked an elderly dude for the last six pack) **Disclaimer** Okay I didn't but it would have been cool. #NeverGetOld
Local food lion has a mix six section. It's $9.99 most of the beers they have in that section cost more than that if I got a sixer of that beer. Also I could just go grab one of the more expensive beers and throw it in the mix six container when nobody is looking because they never check. Just not worth it to save a buck or to try something new. First one I got was Natty Greenes Freedom American IPA. Smells slightly like a malt liquor but mostly it has a bitter hop notes. Taste is a very pleasant citrus hop. Not bitter at all.
Next up is dogfish heads pumpkin ale. Pretty light for a pumpkin beer and for a 7% beer. Good flavor but not strong on any of those flavors. Definitely the most sessionable pumpkin ale I ever had...if you can afford to buy that many and can handle the above average abv.
Up next is O'Conner's black IPA. I hate the term black IPA because it dosnt make sense but this does taste like a regular IPA with a roasted malt aftertaste. Not sure how much is the beer and how much is the Tabasco flavored slim jim...and how much is altered because I had a few already.
a 4-pack is like $10. That's not really expensive. The thing is there are better beers to spend $10 on, like the single 12 oz. bottle of Prairie Christmas Bomb I bought the other day.
Next up is no.3 from EVO Very similar to the freedom IPA I had earlier. Slightly more piney and less citrus but not by much.
The last two from that mix six was stone IPA and now I am drinking bells two hearted ale. Too tired from hockey to do a review. I am just gonna sit back relax and enjoy it. Besides everyone here has had it. If you haven't you should at least once.
More Grimm Magnetic Compass tonight. Enjoying the deliciousness while it lasts. I've got three cans left after this. They've got yet another new IPA which will be released here tomorrow which I will be standing in line for.
In a bath white a bottle of Feral White!! Yeah!! That's some redneck shit right there!! Belgian Wheat Beer or some shit.
