one beer left out my 12 of Otra Vez, started around 6pm, not bad for girly beer.. Need be up in 3hours tho.

I sampled that ST cherry, I dont think I had enough to get a true taster. 8apv good for pounding a couple, even if you dont like it..

Say away from Flying Dog Old Bay.. for cooking batter fish only..OMG!!!!

the local place here had 6ers of the old bay beer for $4. so i drank them plenty for a while. it is an acquired taste but i dont mind them. better than any of the traditional b/m/c's

I get the idea to fill the growler .. but when I get there and order it, I kicked the keg.. what would of been 16$, they give me a growler full of beer for 8$ since it was the bottom of the barrel. only a tip off the full 4pints.. tender said. "I can pour it out and give you something else, or you can take this for half the cost".. hell ya Im going to taking 4pints for 8$..

Flying Dog Ella 8%apv. flat or no flat, I'm buzzed well ..

they tricked me one time with that, they gave me the nearly full grower tapped out for the cost of the growler but only after i said "ok i will take so and so beer instead. so i got two growlers for the price of one beer...but i had to purchase two growlers. good deal...yes, did i want more than one growler? no!

Tonight I am drinking a local brew made here in the ROC. It's Roc's Whoopass Double IPA. Really nice hop flavor to this beer, and this brewery has shown a lot of promise since their inception just a few years ago.

after hearing many people rave about it i finally tried La Fin Du Monde. definitely good, i am just trying to think back to when i last had golden monkey by victory. because it reminds me of that feeling i had at that time. says its ale brewed with spices but it is light on the spices, not light as in its like bud light, just light in spice taste and in alcohol taste for a 9% beer.

Definitely one of my favorite tripels, along with Chimay White and St. Bernardus.

Golden Monkey is the most popular American-made tripel, but it pales greatly to the real thing.

Not very far, I think. They're a relatively new brewery, and even a lot of the local stores don't carry their beers. But I have noticed beer is becoming much more local as more and more craft breweries spring up that distribute only within a radius limited to the vicinity of where they're located.

which is why i guess it makes sense for those that sell out for better distribution. i hate that saying though, unless you are the owner of a brewery...you dont know the needs or wants of that micro.

Living up to r0llinstoned's patriotic beer choice, I am drinking Stone's Enjoy By 7.04.16 IPA. Juicy, sweet, citrusy hop profile with a nice grassy, somewhat herbal finish. Very fresh taste. Awesome double IPA. Strong, too @ 9.4% ABV.

Moving on to Bell's Expedition Stout, a world class imperial stout. A sweet, creamy, roasted malt elixir of the gods. 10.5% ABV.
