Hey all... I'mma drinking again. Not sure if I'll get fucked up for realz, but I'm starting bottle @2 at the moment... Once again, I'm reposting my review from that other forum: (Alc 6%) Smelly: Smells like a fairly standard ale... that's loosely holding an empty shot of tequila. Tasty: Very, very light... wow. That goes down extremely easy! It's bright and tasty and while you can taste that something is different about it, I wouldn't guess it was aged in tequila barrel staves. I think the plantiness of the agave comes through in that... planty... way... if you know what I mean. Like, when you drink one of those spirulina drinks or if you've ever juiced celery. Like that, but instead of being the main palette it's more like the canvas the palette rests on... just not too up front about it. Overall I would easily suggest this as a fun beer, good for summer days. Especially with a lime... kind of like a much better version of Corona.
No shit, Hotwater! I just posted that very same gif on a thread in a different forum, about a month ago. See? Now that's some crazy shit.
Kick Box Breaking News Flash! This just in: New pedestrian bridge now open in Thailand. No more worries about getting flattened by a truck while crossing the street. You can even charge your cell phone while crossing the bridge (cool). But try not to touch anything. :yikes: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=52e_1428818246 Tag: Civil engineering, lol
I've been avoiding all the pony stuff, but I watched that and it made me laugh. /mostly because I've been chosen as an executor.
By the way... a review for the beer I'm drinking tonight: (Alc. 7.5%) The smell: It smells dark and deep, punctuated with a thin citrus line. There's a heaviness from the coffee partnering with the milk stout base. The taste: Actually, it tastes much like the smell. There's a stronger taste of hops than the smell would have me believe. And while it's definitely a stout, it's brighter than most... which seems to be due to the lemon peels. Lastly, there's a lingering bite that leaves me with a distinct memory of drinking a cup of espresso. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. Easily identifying itself as an espresso stout, I would recommend this for any fans of both milk stout brews and espresso. Specifically a cup of espresso where the rim has been pinched with a lemon peel.
And here's tonight's brew... The beer: (Alc. 6.3%) The smell: It definitely smells dark... smells most like a stout I suppose. It does seem a bit more tender than a usual stout, which I'm guessing is the Earl Grey smoothing out the edges. The taste: It tastes lighter than it looks, that's for sure. I mean, it still tastes like a dark beer, but it also has a clearer aspect to it. It doesn't really seem to stake out any explosive flavors and is really kind of... well, it's more bland than I expected. It reminds me of Yuengling, if it were darker and smoother... and not hoppy at all. Overall, an easily drinkable beer. It tastes like more of a session beer, but it'll hit ya a bit harder. If you have a friend who wants to get into microbrews, but isn't a fan of very hoppy beer or stouts, this could be a great gateway beer. Drink it or not... nothing to rave over, but I wouldn't shy away from it either.
Unfortunately, I don't have the shit to make real margaritas with (or the desire to go through all the prep). BUT... I do have ...and it's not bad.
Have I mentioned that I own a store? Well, a virtual store? In Second Life? And that it currently has one free t-shirt and one worth L$44 (about US$ 0.18)? Well, I do. And I mention this because since I joined this site, it's said "Raelma, Zindra, Second Life" under my avatar. And earlier tonight I changed it to "Fenfarg, Zindra, Second Life". Here's a picture of the new location (Bang Rumpus): I don't even know if any of that will mean anything to anyone. But I'm bored and felt like posting something. So there. Eventually I've have more t-shirts. They're nowhere near the best quality in SL. But whatever. At least there's rock/metal playing and a bench to chill at on the roof.
And just for the fuck of it, here's a view from way above, in daylight, before the building went up... (A bunch of stuff in the distance isn't loaded ("rezzed") in that pic, but you get the idea.)
