I'm one them people where you have an original piece of music and nobody is going to come close to reproducing it no matter what. This was a good example. Sure the woman are sexy, but it's no Metallica.
Well, no... it's not supposed to be Metallica. (Plus, they've sucked since the Black album anyway.) I mean, don't get me wrong... that's the first song I heard by Metallica, so it holds a special place with me. That being said, what these girls did was pretty amazing work. As for originals versus covers, I offer this recent post of mine. It's a song by the BeeGees, but it's the Faith No More version. I would be hard put to find Mike Patton lacking in singing just about anything.
At the Tigers yankees game. Pretty entertaining watching the guys in front of me bet weather or not a ball will stay in. Play. Lots of shit happened over the weekend.too much to post on my phone. If I was speaking it would be a 20 minute video. Anyway on to the game.. my battery died yesterday just when I needed it.
Oh I know it's not meant to be Metallica because it's just not Metallica. One does not simply Metallica without being Metallica.
The box seems hostile today. Will be drinking lots of rolling rock at the wedding. Think I will go have a 077xx before we leave so I can have something good today.
Drinking a sour ale tonight... Boulevard's Tell-Tale Tart. I am glad to see sours starting to receive more attention, because they have been overlooked by a lot of beer drinkers.
Yeah I guess you're right. I did a quick search about it, and it looks like the Gin they use comes from a different species of juniper berries than what I'm used to seeing out in the high desert region of the northwest. I tried the juniper berries off those trees and they'll make you throw up.
07747 might be my last one tonight. Same as 077xx but with a different frutiet hop that is only sold at the brewery and one other bar.
had stewarts brewery in delaware on the way home...solid beers but a shitty brewery. only one dark beer on tap and it was tapped out. ended up getting the IPA which was decent compared to the avg ipa. the red which is my favorite style they had was avg at best for the style. their governers golden ale is the worst beer i have had in a long long time. it literally had hints of puke taste in it. the other 6 beers i had were at least average or better but no standouts except for the ipa. there is another brewery not far from there so needless to say i will be going to the other place next time i am in the area. and likely will never go back to this place....oh yeah except the food was pretty damn good. so there is always a chance.
This beer was JUST introduced to the market. It's so new that there isn't even a page for it on BeerAdvocate yet. It's Southern Tier Cherry Gose; an imperial sour ale clocking in at 8.3% ABV. I've had many sour ales in the past, but this is the first I've seen of an imperial sour ale. This is very true to the sour ale/gose style of beer, but with slightly more of an alcoholic bite in the finish. The beer is brewed with real cherry juice, giving the beer its red color. The cherry flavor is pronounced but not over the top, and it goes nicely with the beer's overall sourness.
