Oh shit... I almost forgot to post my 2nd review! *phew*' Here we go... Beer #2: (Alc. 10%) (Evil Twin - Yang) Smells - Toasted wheat and oats, with peachy hops and a hint of citrus, approach on a bready body. Tastes - Toasted wheat/oats walk a dry, pithy path. Hints of peach and citrus follow, just above the biscuitish body. Piney outro. Overalls, this is a pretty dry offering. Contemplative in nature, the almost bitter dryness lingers for a moment on the backend while pronouncing the piney aspects of the brew. If you like dry beer, this would be right up your alley. It reminds me of trying to clean sap off your hands, but not in a bad way. (I'll post a pic with the next review.)
Well I was being completely non-serious both times I talked to you, and I'm still not being serious now. And I won't be the next time you talk to me, either, but I will the time after that.
I tell ya what, boys and girls, I have been looking forward to this last review the most. It's been a hot minute since I had a good, strong, delicious stout and I expected this to be one of them. To find out what happened when I got around to trying it, read what I had to say about... Beer #3: (Alc. 10%) (Evil Twin - Yin) Smellin - Black coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and sly suggestions of oatmeal raisin cookies... all precede a sweet malt undertow, resting on a bready cracker. Tastin - Black coffee and suggestions of oatmeal raisin cookies precede a sweet malt undertow. A semisweet chocolate current leads to a bready cracker body. Overallin... hot DAMN, but how I've missed these wonderful, wonderful stouts! There isn't much to add to the smell/taste notes, except for a slight metallic moment at the very end... but that could just be from being in a can. Excellent shit. And for the pic? As some probably guessed, it's apropos of both Yin and Yang beers. See?
Yeah, well, I'm still not gonna douche. So there. (Edit: Did that come across as humorous? It seemed like it did when I wrote it. But now, 1 1/2 hours later, it seems like it may not translate well. Just read it like it's funny, k?)
Sweet! The waitress just gave me a free Moscow Mule I suppose a ghost placed an order. And there were no takers

So, um, hey everyone... Obviously I'm not doing a great job of keeping up with my drinking. I mean, it's been over a month since I've posted. Sorry bout that... Maybe tonight's beer reviews can help make up for it. Beer #1: (Alc. 10%) (Half Acre - Big Hugs (2019)) Smell - Bitter dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans take a strong lead, then rest on a bready base with malted whisps swirling around the base. Taste - Unassuming roasted coffee, bitter dark chocolate, and possible dark cherry notes. Resting on a slightly malty, bready base. Overall, this is a fairly standard, coffee brewed, imperial stout. I've tasted more delectable versions, but this holds its own. (I don't know on the pic... not bothering.)
