Whoa!! If only I could be sharing that awesome beer with a woman as beautiful as yourself. I know, I am cheesy AF!
Trillium is the fucking shit. I have had two of their beers tonight, and have another in the fridge. This is their Pocket Pigeon from their 'Small Bird Series'. It is a pale ale. Really mild, grassy and herbaceous with a bready malt finish. Light bodied, clean and crisp! 5.4% ABV 4.5/5
Now drinking Double Dry Hopped Sleeper Street from Trillium (Boston, Mass), a dank, tropical orange-pineapple-grapefruit juice bomb of an IPA. Medium-light bodied, clean and crisp, with a mostly dry finish. 7.2% ABV 4.5/5
Aww PR has a crush, and good taste in his womenfolk Anywho, I am sipping on Avery Brewing Raja Double IPA. Pretty sure I've expressed my general dislike of IPAs enough in this thread lol but I actually really like this one
Hahah... I've had an internet crush on her for a while, actually. Avery makes some great beers. I don't think I've ever had that particular one, though.
Hot damn! It's been 2 weeks! (So, I have to catch up from page 277!) A bunch of shit has gone down. Some crappy, some good. (Like Lil Kick starting Kindergarten!) Also, I almost died. Well, my D&D character, that is. Turned out the magical portal in the magical inter-planary shortcut wasn't certain death, it just dropped me in a different spot from high above. I hurt my back, but I was a brown bear at the time so it wasn't so bad. ANYway... I think I should get to the drinkin part of the night! So, a couple new ones to try out. I think I'm going to start with the IPA, then move on to the pumpkin brew. With that in mind, may I present the first beer of the night... (Alc. 7.6%) (Long Trail Brewing - Limbo IPA) Smell - Pine with a slight whiff of white pepper. Then some pithy pineapple/grapefruit body. Taste - Soft resinous pine holding hands with pithy grapefruit. A little white pepper heat in the back end. Moments of something fruitier that I can't place, but I swear makes me think of bubble gum... just for a moment, when exhaling through my nose as I drink. Overall, a hearty IPA that doesn't get too thick. I enjoy the heat and feel it balances the pith and slight bitterness fairly well. The only downfall (for me) is a bit more of a bitter bite in the last moments, in the throat. (I also didn't have enough time to chill this, so it's almost room temp.)
Had that limbo a while ago. I remember thinking it's pretty good but not likely to buy it again unless I have money and it's that and b.m.c (is there a specific order to that abbreviation? Bud has to be first in my book.) Planning on dropping off some stuff at my exes house next week so I have to hit the most local brewery to Barnegat. I will do the research later.
Took me a half an hour to write this review (and find pics). Then again, that's pretty much par for the course. ANyshiut... Beer #2: (Alc. 8.6%) (Southern Tier - Warlock (2017)) Smell: Dark, browned, spiced pumpkin pie. That's it, just beautiful, drool-worthy pumpkin pie in all it's glories. Taste: Dark, browned, spiced pumpkin pie... as a stout beer. Somewhat bitter compared to pie. But mostly, it's pumpkin pie in a beer. Overall, fuck yes. Fuck. Yes. Gives Elysium a run for it's money. Definitely have to compare the two at some point this season!! (although, I'm expecting Elysium to win.) Aaaand... Pics!
i saw the lmbo ipa today, I bought dead guy because the bottles design was different. drank all six, sleepy now, maybe drink some guinness and crash soom, idk..
I had the warlock last night and it'll be the last time.. i keep giving st benefits of the doubt. but damn every time with the gut wrenches the day after.
*clicks Like* *Reached limit for the day* shit I haven't even finished catching up in this thread, much less any other threads!
This deserves a Like, but as I just mentioned... I'm out of Likes for the day. grr Nice review though.
Weed is always a great after-beer extension. That being said, I'm more interested in that Pink Lemonade beer at the moment. Definitely have to keep my eyes out for this one!
I Read A Few Days Ago That Some "Craft Beers" Sell For $40-00 A Bottle.....Is This True..??... :yikes: Cheers Glen.
Some sell for way more than that... especially vintage, barrel-aged stuff, and certain lambics from Belgium.
I did a quick check just now. Looks like Backward Flag Brewing is well reviewed. It's in Forked River, so fairly close. (Let me know when you're around and maybe I can meet up.) (Although, I'm not sure I'll catch it in time here on Hip... but let me know on Twitter (@Kick_Frenzy) and I'll get the message that day.)
