Well shit, I decided to go for it after all. This is DKML from Founders (Grand Rapids, MI), an imperial malt liquor aged in bourbon barrels. Super sweet, boozy, and it will surely get you fucked up at 14.2% ABV. You really feel this stuff after just a couple sips, and I was already semi-drunk to begin with. For a malt liquor, albeit a barrel-aged one, it is very good. Not sure beyond that, however. Actually, this is not bad at all. 3.65/5
14.2% ABV... :yikes: ..That Should Grow Those Hairs On Your Chest I Was Talking About A Couple Of Months Back..... Cheers Glen.
Crystal Head Vodka is a brand of vodka manufactured by Globefill Inc. in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It was conceived of and founded by actor Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander in 2007... Drank to much now I have a headache..
I got a bottle and drank it....filled it up with cheap stuff and gave it to my sister. Drinking evil twins big money stout now. It's an easy A. Says 16% abv but can't feel it and can barely taste any alcohol. This is the best stout I had in a while...also the chewiest. Forget how much I paid but I know it was under 10 so well worth it.
It's actually an Evil Twin / Leurvig collab. And it is actually brewed with frozen pizzas and money, I shit you not. Fucking awesome beer! Five star imperial stout all the way for me.
Sierra Nevada Narwhal. 10%. $10.77 for 6.. I dont think I wanted to drink these tho. just not a drinking getting shit done beer thats for sure. price wise koolbeans.
I've got a number of AWESOME New England beers on hand for tonight. so far it's been these two... Difference & Repetition from Hill Farmstead (Greensboro Bend, VT). This is an IPA brewed with Simcoe and Hallertau Blanc hops. It has a soft, but somewhat thin mouthfeel. There's lots of melon, peach and pineapple characters, with some grapefruit, lemon and orange rind/zest in the finish. 6% ABV 4.25/5 The second beer is Pavement from Foam Brewers (Burlington, VT). This is a double IPA. I am getting lots of dank resin and some onion with some floral, earthy notes. Also getting some sweet, tropical fruits (mango, passionfruit), and a dank, earthy herbaceousness. 8.2% ABV 4.5/5
finishing the 5th beer of Narwhal. its a struggle.. I may not get to the six. I ate air fried steak fries and chicken sammich.. blasting out some stinky farts atm .. i can do it.. but these farts are death gas..
Next two beers of the evening are as follows... Lightweight from The Alchemist (Stowe, Vermont). This is a beautiful crisp, clean, refreshing blonde ale. Beautiful showcasing of bready pilsner malts and Cascade hops. Super light crusher!! 4.4% ABV 4.25/5 The next beer is Built to Spill, again from Foam Brewers (Burlington, VT). So much juicy, tropical goodness. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel with lots of juicy pineapple and tangerine. 8% ABV 4.75/5
PR do you know of any orange juice looking IPA's I cant get on the west coast? Besides monkish as i dont wanna drive out there.
Modern Times, Moonraker, Cellarmaker, Fieldwork, Track 7, Alvarado Street, Noble Ale Works.... there are probably more I am forgetting, but they all make juicy NE style IPAs. All are noteworthy Cali breweries. I have no clue on their availability outside of where they're brewed, however
I know forsure I have seen noble ale works at the stores. we have bevmo and total wine which are HUGE stores that sell only alcohol and alcohol relate supplies n food. Thanks!
What will likely be my last beer(s) of the night is a growler fill of a local sour made with raspberry. This is Raspberry Sour from Swiftwater (Rochester, NY), which is brewed with fresh raspberry puree. Probably my favorite sour to come out of Rochester. Nicely tart with lots of mildly sweet, fresh raspberry flavors. Really nice stuff!! 5.5% ABV 3.85/5
