The 'Karen' Syndrome

If she really is in the military- she won’t be for long. Now that I think about it, it’s a good chance that she’s a military dependent. I’m quite familiar with seeing that “I’m entitled because my husband is an NCO or an Officer.”

Most of the Karens I have encountered seemed like all they really needed was a proper grudge fuck.

 

I saw a video taped encounter between a clearly entitled woman of about 35 to 40 and a female officer of a parking authority. The clearly entitled woman was parked in a "no parking - fire zone" and when the officer told her she was getting a ticket for parking there, she screamed at the officer.

"I have a couple heavy bags to carry out of the store. I'm not parking out there and making several trips. I'm parking here so I don't have to walk so far!"

The female officer calmly explained that they have shopping carts to make transporting several items easy to push to the car. That's what all the other shoppers do, so she has to park out there like everybody else.

She wasn't having any of it, and screamed a few bleeped expletives at the officer as she wrote out the parking ticket. Then as she got in her car, she screamed that she hoped the female officer had a rotten day and called her an a$$hole.

Does this qualify the clearly entitled woman as a "Karen" ??

 

Yes, but its important to note there are various degrees of Karenicity and since she didn't ask to speak with the female officer's supervisor she only rates an 8 out of 10 on the Karen scale.
