The 'Karen' Syndrome

The U.S. Army has taken action against the Columbia, South Carolina soldier Jonathan Pentland, and has suspended him from his
duties as an instructor while they investigate criminal charges against him. The DOJ is also looking into the case.

What really gets me is that no one used to ever act like this! That kid was obviously mentally challenged! And this big old thug is going to just lay into him and apparently thinks that is acceptable behavior? WTF man?!!

 

Columbia, SC is 40% black, I know there are individual neighborhoods like there are throughout the united states but still, it’s not as if it’s out of the realm of possibility that he lives in the area.

 

Folks get pretty antsy around these parts (North and South Carolina) if you come around the neighborhood and people have never seen you before- they really get in your business. If they never seen you before and you’re not with anybody they know from the neighborhood, it’s immediately assumed that you’re casing the neighborhood for future criminal activities- mainly theft.

Even I get suspicious when I see people drive through taking pictures or making video recordings of houses on my block, especially since none of these houses are for sale- with no “for sale” or “for rent/lease” signs even posted in the yards. Does it mean the individual doing this has bad intentions? Not necessarily. But it surely makes people around here uncomfortable- especially when numerous video footages are being posted on the neighborhood apps of vehicle breakins, people walking up and checking for unlocked house and car doors, packages being stolen off of people’s porches, etc., etc.

This could be happening in their neighborhood, but it certainly doesn’t give that shithead and his shithead wife the right to approach this guy the way they did - they could have gotten lead poisoning fuckin with the wrong one, I’m just saying!

 

Damn....where the hell do these folks come from, I swear!

The Deputy State Fire Marshals say 47-year-old Gail Metwally set several fires inside the home on Cherry Lane in Elkton.

When firefighters arrived, they say the house was engulfed in flame, and Metwally had been sitting in a lawn chair watching the scene. She later walked away.

Witnesses said another person could be heard crying for help in the basement, and they helped her up through a window.
