I just broke the high e string on my guitar for the second time in a week.. now I only buy packets of 10 extra strings when I go to the store..

Today my phys. ed. teacher was talking about the impact of stress on life, and went on to say that her friend got cancer because she was stressed.. :frown:

Does your saddle has spur on it.. There is no way you should be breaking them over and over.... your action it set to high..... you might even be set at to high a pitch, you tuned to A440?

And keep your strings OILED. Get some Fine machine oil, an old sock and rub strings before and after playing. fuck all them guitar store lubes. Get some trumpet oil(fine oil) put in on a sock and keep it in a jar when you dont use it.. That will keep it fresh and not dry out..
use the same Oil on the bridge saddles and nuts, and string rests.. Top and bottom..

And Drop Tuning to Eb will give you more bend and bluesy tones.. Also lightens the tension on stings.. :D

I don't think there's any problem with the saddle.. I filed it out lightly a while ago and there was no difference in how often the strings broke.
    I'm tuned to 440 pitch.

I've never actually oiled the strings in my life, though. I thought that only applied to classical guitars with the nylon/gut strings? I guess it could be a good idea!

If you ran your fingernails or better yet, fold a piece of white card paper,, Now take it sharply under the strings, running along the bottom the strings and see all the filth under there... This is sweat, skin, hand dirt and eats away the metal on the strings.. elixirs may have coating its only coated so much when Fretting rubs it off. The fret wears the string out too.. Sometimes faster on wound strings than solid steels. depends on you too, you like bending wounds or stop at the G string..

I only keep metal cleaner around for one reason, to keep my strings happy, and give them longer life. Ill change Fatties before I change unwound steels, cause the wound get the raised bumps on them. These bumps will begin to cut your finger tips too, should you be sliding fast up and down the board.

Well, just make sure she knows... If for whatever reason, she can't come, we will still glady take the birds (although she has to come for a while to teach me how not to get eaten... lol)

Anyone ever make weed brownies? We are going to make some. Was going to use 1/4 but now we're thinking of using 1/2... my question is: using 1/2 instead of 1/4, would I need to use more butter/oil for the thc to absorb into, or would using the same amount (what the recipe calls for) work? I don't want to waste any.

how are you doing it...soaking the weed in butter is a waste unless you have more...and its normally done only with shake or shwag otherwise its not needed and a waste of time...if it is good weed just mix it in with the normal recipe and bake it...make sure you are not using a brownie mix that needs 400 degrees...find one thats 350ish...use the 14 and one pan will suit 4 people or 1 people really good

I'm using a recipe that takes oil. Planning to just simmer the oil/weed in a pan for 30 mins, strain out the weed, and use the oil as I normally would in the recipe. So you think using 1/2 is overkill? I know people usually use shake but my friends and I want to make really strong brownies. Wasn't going to just throw weed into the mix because I don't want to eat all the plant material.

Just wondering if using so much weed would mean I would need to use more oil because the thc to fat ratio would be way off, like there would be too much thc for all the oil to absorb... if that's possible.

what you do is use exactly what it calls for...then...after soaking and reclaiming, straining you will notice you are a tiny bit short for the recipe...just top it up with more fresh oil...dont put extra oil in or you will ruin it...also...oil based brownies are really easy to mess up and overcook....use the whole half O and put a piece away fopr a rainy day...like tomorrow

    good eatin
