what do they sell for?...up here a friend sells for $4 a dozen ..

Im not sure what organic means but these chickens just roam around farm free with no fences

 

organic fed chickens....she gives them to me cheaper than she sells them at the farmers market...usually 2 dozen for 5 bucks.....or 3 bucks for 1 dozen

 

that's a damn good price

Mornin...

So apparently it is going to stay at only one kitten.

It's completely black except for the very tip of it's tail, which has a couple of dozen white hairs...

 

so did she even birth any other kittens? or did the rest not make it?

 

just the one kitten...

She was preg last year and had one kitten too, but it was born dead...

So, this is an improvement... actually, a good thing, one more kitten isnt bad... a dozen would have been... lol

 

a dozen kittens = 11 tid bits for owls/foxes/wolves/hawks +1 for home

 

sloppy...gonna have to do another one.
i told my buddy if he buys me more board i'll give him this one >

Thanks, Pav She had been feeling kinda weak and whatnot for the past couple of weeks, but we JUST found out last night she had lung cancer that had spread to her liver. She never even found out about the cancer, as we were gonna tell her today, but she went into cardiac arrest last night and was dead for 20 minutes. She was unresponsive after that, even though her eyes were open.

We're thankful that she didn't really suffer at all and in all honesty, I think she was ready for it.

 

TopNotch I'm real sorry to hear that. I know you guys were close.

In old times when someone died with their eyes open it was a good sign for their life-they died at peace. Watching the world as they went to sleep.

My best friend died a few years ago-I still talk to him sometimes. I have a beer with him-remembering the good times. Sitting in the same seat at a bar that we used to sit at.

It was my mom's mom. The one I lived with for so long a few years ago.

It was said that some people saw their death coming. Those who were happy with their life, who lived a full life, watched death come. And were not afraid of it. They died at peace. It wasn't a bad thing to die with your eyes closed-but if your eyes were open you had a good life. Another reason to drink to someone after they died.

Remember your grandmother. The good times. Things she taught you. Maybe you never had a beer with your grandmother-but maybe you do now.
