"That's what you are all about. You can't verbalize what you believe, so you look up web addresses, and say here's what I believe. I'ts sad, when the only thing you can look to, is a web address."

Ive figured it out. Cambpell is just joking around with us! I mean, no one is THAT stupid to use hte bible in every fucking response and then have the nerve to say that others only use the web. And by the way. the web is so vast, with all different sources of information. The bible is one BROAD story, no different perspectives. I truly do believe that religious people (like cambell) have a brain disorder in which they cannot fully grasp common sense.
And what do christians do? they make up what they believe? No, YOU are the one who looks into a book and says "heres what i believe".

You wont even bat an eye at this post, though, for that is the nature of people with your condition. Its sad really =( . I truly feel for you

The events that allowed the Jews to return to Israel were out of the scope of those who penned the Bible. Yet they wrote with full assurance that these things would come to pass in the order that the Bible layed out, because this knowledge was passed on by God. The details of their return were often not understood until after the event. So you will not be surprised when most of the Jews living in America will return to Israel. That day is not far away. But even now ask anyone if they believe most of the Jews will leave America and return to Israel, and let see what kind of answer you get.

God choose the Jews, but as the Old Testament prophecies stated, God's people would reject Him. I am a Christian because I follow Jesus not the Jewish faith.

If the Bible is the Word of God what else would you use. What other authority would rise above it. My mental health is in check, but I would say that this sin sick world has a heart disorder. God states that the wisdom of this world is foolish to Him. You are talking to a man who has heard the voice of God, I have walked the approches of heaven, I have had a glimpse of the other side. And the Bible is truly the Word of God. And I can tell you that Jesus Christ is coming back to this World soon. The World will not be prepared to receive Him, yet He will return just as He said He would. Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

I just read your last post, and the person being interviewed stated that we should not really put are focus on Bible prophecy, Yet God states in Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. You can take all your liberal theologians and shove them. I will take Gods Word above theirs any day of the week.
You say you should not verbalize from a christian prespective because you are not a Christian yourself. Yet that does not stop you from Verbalizing and telling Christians that they are all wrong about the prophecies. It's easy to tell someone they are wrong when you don't have to explain why they are wrong. Just tell them they are wrong. Forget about actually thinking about the facts, especially when you don't have any. Just give them a web site, that should do it. What is petty, is calling Christians wrong, but then you excuse yourself from any explination of why.

I have explained, but to keep you from having to re-read my posts we'll have another go.

Prophecies are vague for a reason. Many prophecies are from the bible and fufilled in the bible (without any outside historic evidence). Many others are common sense, pointing out likely inevitabilities. It doesn't take a psychic to know that the Jews would want to return to their homland, everyone already knows they feel it is their promised land, and since there are many christians in the world it isn't hard to see why many agree with them, and would support their return. Thus the "prophecy" being fufilled. It doesn't prove god and christ are real and that he's going to bring on the apocalypse. It just means that lots of people believe in the bible. Lots of people also believe in UFO's and ghosts, doesn't make them real though. Lots of people believe in evolution - but to you it isn't real....so you can understand where I'm comin from.

Lots of religions and belief systems that have had their great prophets and prophecies, they all boast absolute faith and belief in them as well. They see their prophecies fufilled, christianity is not any different among them (no matter how many number of these, I have already explained prophecies that are both made and fufilled in the bible aren't acceptable as evidence).

And again...what room do you have to tell me I ignore facts? You (from what I see on this forum) have a track record of ignoring any facts that come from anyone but yourself, and maybe a few nutjobs that make outrageous claims (like having tested the DNA of christ.... ) You must have made up your own definition of facts, but it is just more denial.

There is extra Biblical evidences that support the existance of Christ, also the prophecies of other religions have not been fulfilled. Unlike the Bible. If that is not the case, show me I'm wrong. The Jews returning to Israel was outside the historical control of the Jews. Those that wrote the Bible did not know that thousands of years later someone named Hitler would kill 6 million Jews in his ovens. And they did not know that the Jews fleeing Europe would be bared from entering most other countries. As far as the nut job you are refering to, a movie was just made about two Americans that were able to reach the real Mount Sinia based on information supplied by that person. Those in the field of archeology have stated that this discovery, will top the descovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. You always speak in the most general terms, yet I see no evidence to back your outrageous claims. Yet, anything I speak of, I can give names, places, and eyewitness accounts. The post you have given me, are repeats of personal views, and opinions, but lack field work, or any solid evidence. Remember, a man or woman's personal view is not evidence. Vedio Tapes, eyewitinesses, and on the ground written accounts, will always top personal views, or opinions.

Damn straight they didn't. And that's the whole point, isn't it? If they had, and had written it down so that the prophecy was actually a prophecy with specific details to point to, now THAT would be something. But they didn't, because they didn't know anything.

Eyewitness accounts and written accounts are colored by the personal views of the people giving the account. Nice try, though.

That's actually not true, there are at least 3, if not 5 different main authors of the Bible. I'm afraid I don't recall enough about it to give much more detail than that, but I saw a documentary about it on the History channel, so you can probably find something on their website about it.

THEY DID NOT WRITE THE PROPHECY DOWN WITH ANY SPECIFIC DETAILS?

YOU have no idea what you are even talking about, you know nothing about the prophecies and then make statements like this. There are over 300 prophecies giving no less than 300 details about the life of Christ alone. And all of this before He was even born. His entire life is described in the Old Testament. The virgin birth, His family line, His birth place in Bethlehem, His appeal to the Gentiles, His rejection by the Jews, His entrance into Jerusalem on a donkey, His betrayal by a friend, His betral for 30 pieces of silver, the mention of His hands and feet would be pierced, His crucificition with thieves, His cloths divided and gambled for, the gall and vinegar offered to Him, His bones not broken, His side would be pierced, darkness over the land, His burial in a rich man's grave, His reserection from the dead, his death for the sins of the world. All of this and more are to be found in the Old Testament and in detail. Those who wrote the Bible did not author it. Yes this kind of detail is something, and yet it is ignored by most of the World. And that is why Jesus said, they have eyes and they do not see, and they have ears and they can not hear.

We're not talking about the prophecies concerning Jesus, we're talking about the prophecy of the Jews returning to the Holy Land.

Get your head out of your ass.

Well next time be a little more specific and say the prophecies of the jews. Because when you just say "the prophecies" it seems like your referring to all the Bible prophecies and you wouldn't want to hear all the prophecies of the Bible anyway. You have a hard enough time with the prophecies concerning the Jews!

Isaiah stated that the Jews would return to the land of Israel from the west, east, north, and from the south.

It states in the O.T. that when the Jews return to Israel they would enter south Israel first. They did.

It states that after that, they would retake Jerusalem second. They did (1967).

The O.T. also states that when the Jews return to their land, they would be surrounded by enemies. They are.

The Bible states that Israel would once again be a prosperous nation. Israel today has the highest per capita gross domestic product of any of the nearby countries, even though surrounding nations have oil.

The O.T. states that trees would flourish again in Israel. The land barren and dry for centuries now has over 200 million trees growing within her borders.

Isaiaih said Israel's fruit would fill the world. Israel today is one of the leading Agricultural nations.

Ezekiel states that future Israel would have a very powerful army. Israel is considered one of the most powerful nations on earth, and it is believed that they have over 200 nuclear missiles ready to launch at any given time.

The O.T & N.T. state that at the time of the end the Jews would rebuild a Third Temple. Many Jews are now demanding that the Government of Israel allow them to build this Temple. It is just a matter of time, and it will be built just like the Bible said it would.

The O.T. states that Israels Old East Gate would have a porch built onto it, and the porch Gate would be sealed. It states that all attempts to break through the Gate would end in failure. They have. It also states the no man will be allowed to enter the Gate for it is reserved for the Prince to come.
Today, the Porch of the Old East Gate that leads to the Temple Mount remains sealed, just as the prophecy said it would.

StonerBill, if I diden't know any better I would of said you were a Christian. Thats what the Old Testament was. A blueprint for the New Testament, yet those who wrote the N.T. had no more control over the historical events of that day, than the Jews of today had over the events of World War II.

and i think you missed my point. i was suggesting that the books of the NT coincide with eachother because of the fact that many elements of jesus' life were predicted in the OT.

even thought i do believe he very likely existed... this makes some amount of sense.
