This thread is about the intelligence of Republicans. Yesterday 2/28/2020 their fat leader said, "Corona Virus is a Democrat Hoax." And then the Republicans believed him.

 

What he said is that it's "their new hoax", which is his reaction to their demands to dismantle other priorities to support democrat strongholds with federal money so they can "prepare" for an emergency that hasn't yet arrived. Of course, a big part of the reason we're not infected is all of the travel restrictions and rigid quarantine protocols. The same ones being ignored by Italy, Iran and parts of Africa. A refusal to consider quarantine during the birth of the HIV epidemic is precisely why we have an HIV epidemic.

In the US we have a disease scare ahead of every election, even midterms. At the same time we routinely have a social security scare and a "they're gong to put you back in chains" scare. It's the same old show.

 

Environment: pack it in, pack it out. Leave no trace. Use brain to balance consumption vs degradation of natural resources. "Extremeness" is a dead giveaway to laziness and apathy. Don't support extremism.

Gun control: requires a mentor/instructor and a place to practice safely. Right now the government has no mandate to supply gun control training, facilities, nor supplies to the citizenry at large like they do for those joining the military. Maybe that should be considered, but in the meantime you can find someone. I dunno, try searching Google maps for gun control instruction. Shame you don't have family support. IMO everybody should learn gun control before adulthood. I teach pistol, rifle, and shotgun control to all my family members.

 

Yeah.... That's not the type of "gun control" he was talking about.

 

I wonder how this will apply to gangs. Maybe if they had this sort of training we'd see a sharp decline in collateral deaths and injuries resulting from people spraying bullets in random arcs instead of taking a steady aim, with the weapon held vertically. If we teach gang members to shoot better, they'll go back to killing more of each other than innocent citizens.

So, gun control could have positive results!

 

What are we referring to when we say "intelligence"?
Are we referring to the concept of the ability to learn?
Or are we simply conjecturing that intelligent beings know more?
Is intelligence more displayed by memorization skills, or by problem-solving skills?
Because the op's "test" is simply a measure of e whether a test subject had memorized locations of countries. Is that an intelligence test?
A two-year-old can display exceptional intelligence while still knowing little, eh?

Go back to school days. Did anyone notice any difference between kids of democrats and kids of republicans? Which were more likely to earn higher grades? Which were more likely to shake you down for lunch money?

Maybe you and your Republican Like Buddies didn't watch the news last night. (1) Trump had the State Department send in a bunch of regular government workers to meet the infected people from that Quarantined Ship in Japan. They had to bring them home, because they are after all Americans. Trump and his State Department workers were unable to do the job right, because Trump had shut down the government office which handled such pandemic conditions. So, Trump's welcome committee was not protected with gowns, gloves, masks, and appropriate disinfecting stuff. The were in street cloths. After they did what was asked of them, and after being well infected by the quarantined travelers, they were sent home. When they got home, they infected others. Last night, there were at least four new infected persons, some in serious or critical condition. One has now died in Washington. Corona Virus is spreading like a brush fire. And this has happened due to incompetent response from Trump's Republican administration. Trump has done absolutely nothing about the severe shortage of breathing apparatus machines. Experts have told him we have only 75000 respirators and 750000 are now needed to deal with Corona Virus. This new virus has a death rate of 2.7 per 100 infected people, so a little more deadly that the Spanish Flu of 1918. And so far the only thing we have heard from your stable genius is, "it's their new hoax."
