That's a good way to sum it up. I believe it's fair to put the Lion's share of the blame on the left-leaning teachers unions who've constantly fought for teachers working less while getting more taxpayer dollars, putting greater emphasis on fancy facilities than challenging minds, and mixing up all levels of capabilities while teaching to the least capable. So it's a joke that's hard to take seriously. But memorizing country locations is a subset of the bigger problem that people aren't even taught to read maps anymore. The majority of people can't seem to be able to navigate from point A to point B without navigational assistance from either a device or a person. Most city people don't know the layout of their city, much less their own country. These people who couldn't tell you where Uruguay is probably couldn't identify more than a handful of states on a US map, if that! Speaking of Uruguay, I can remember standing at la fortaleza looking across rio de la plata and seeing the outlines of the skyscrapers of Buenos Aires... forty years ago. I had a map of the city and got around by myself. Maybe they just figure smart people will figure it out on their own if they're interested. If not, then more government-dependent puppets to keep the career politicians in office. Who knows? I think they just want average and below people to go to work and come home to beer and sports, and otherwise not be able to see through what they're up to.
So you think Republicans had no impact on public education in America during the last forty years? Did you forget when Republican Reagan, Bush Senior and Bush Junior enforced new demands on our schools? Did you forget what Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich did? Did you forget all the racial insults Rush Lamebutt dished out to ridicule Bill Clinton?
It's their own country though You tried to be a smart aleck, and it just bombed didn't it How about an edition where we see if Boomers can embed videos?
I guess what I've noticed (that I really don't like...) is that republicans tend to attack democrats. maybe democrats are doing it too, but I haven't noticed it. Also, there's whole lots of democrat policies being discussed and digested, but nothing republican sponsored.
Says the guy that makes generalizations based off random people on the street and thinks that represents an entire group. Just stop. Anybody that generalizes in such a way is just being ignorant.
There is no political difference between the KKK and The Republican Party. Their political platform is identical. The both hate immigration, both hate taxation, both want White Christian Superiority, and both want to revive the Confederate States of America. Under DC Stephenson, their plan was to begin to take over state legislative bodies first then take the Congress and White House. They almost got it done. Notice they both want to trust in The Lord and lay hands on the sick, even if they have Coronavirus. They both feel the same way about abortion and interracial marriage. They both are hog meat eaters.
Stop acting as if you know every goddamn Republican and think you can speak for them. It's annoying. You like to categorize a group of people based on what I believe to be personal experiences and think that represents Republicans as a whole.
And yet you're the one who is saying it. Did I call anyone a "soy boy"? No, I didn't. I don't need to lower myself to name calling to get my point across.
I know a couple of good Republicans, but you need to understand that the Republican Party of pre-1972 is not the same as the Neo-Con Republican of today. The Neo-Cons are an intolerant and violent lot who want to silence all Americans. The Neo-Cons do like the First Amendment. The Neo-Cons are nearly identical to the Neo-Nazi groups … just hate immigrants and people who have a college degree in science.
As I have stated before I cannot speak for all people and what they believe but from most of the republicans I know don't hate legal immigration but illegal immigration.
I've seen it several times this week. That 6-eye shaman uses it all the time. You are not the only one on Hipforums here.
Did I claim others don't call people that? I didn't. There was no need to bring that up in this debate as I have not said anything even resembling that.
