A delicious comedy/drama if there ever was one! A good cast has this show hum along with guest appearances from the 'girls just want to have fun' creator Cyndi Lauper, and the Mom from "Kim's Convenience" - Jean Yoon. Dolores is convincingly played by Justina Machado, known for her work on 'Six Feet Under' and 'One Day at a Time.' Dolores Roach gets released after an unjust 16-year prison sentence, and she returns to her old neighborhood, which has changed dramatically.She gets together with an old stoner friend, Luis, who lets her live and work as a masseuse in the basement under his empanada shop. Things get rather out of hand as she finds a new way to supply meat for the empanadas being made upstairs.
