This is my favorite television show to watch reruns of. I have loved this show ever since I learned of it..... I just saw this episode a few minutes ago. What a riot! Ralph is sort of like Stan ....lol...I am sort of like Alice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0JukEcvbS0
little known fact hanna barbera company basically copied them to come up with the flintstones but jackie decided to let it be an not sue them
Saw this episode last night for the first time and laughed alot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH_5vmekOtY
Right on the money, Moonglow - claro que si, du hast richtig, bolshoi horosho and all that - I adored The Honeymooners when I was growing up and I have to admit that Alice Cramden did certan things to me which a gentleman doesn't tell a lady - I also loved his Poor Soul and other skits he did which mirrored his inner turmoil and pain. Alcoholics get fat but they often stay funny.
The Honeymooners started as series of live sketches on another show. Gleason hated to rehearse so there were no dress rehearsals, only a one time reading. If you see Gleason patting his stomach, that's his signal that he forgot his lines so the other actors could ad lib until he figured out what to do. Art Carney usually did most of the ad libs. Audrey Meadows would use side long glances or hand signals to point Gleason to his stage mark when he forgot. Excellent actors and writers.
Ah, man, where has dialogue that that been all of my life? left out your last sentence, though....I have seen alcoholics get very skinny, also.....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCSeMlSv3E0 my favourite episode is when they share the tv and norton wants to watch captain video which actually was a real show at the time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3xun-B-qCw
lol Captain Norton was on last night, too...It came after Alice and the Blonde and I laughed through that one, too, and never saw that one before, either.... I was going to post that one, too.... Did you see them last night? they are on every Saturday night here 11pm-1 am. I don't know if they are on the same time where you are.
I did not know until last night that the Honeymooners was only on the air for one year with a total of 39 episodes or something like that. Jackie Gleason said no to another year, as he did not want to over due the show and make people sick of it. He said that they did all the good plots and writers were starting to repeat themselves. Smart businessman. I saw this last night for the first time, and Ralph really makes me laugh..... Judy's boyfriend in this episode is George Burn's and Gracie's son in real life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYv1iSCif7w
i guess i get the same channel they are on right now on a channel called cw11...but on the screen it says WPIX11
Yep, that is the channel. Last night's episode was strange with them sitting outside in the snow. I never saw those kinds of faces on Alice before....
