But like isn't the balance in between love and hate, "like" is totally different and not even on the same level on the emotional spectrum. Two extremes do exist in everything, to keep everything in balance, but love and hate are way too big to even oppose each other, you know? They are not the same, it's like trying to balance a volcano eruption with warm sunlight, or calming a turbulent ocean with a really light and beautiful first snow. Notttt the same.
I am not going to try and define emotional opposites. Emotions are inherently subjective, and difficult to pinpoint and define. However, if to be opposite means that one cannot exist without the other, then love and hate are not opposites. Neither is dependent upon the other because they are both deviations from a state of normalcy. Imagine a number line. Let's say negative numbers are love and positive numbers are hatred. When X > 0, you have all love and no hate; X<0, you've got the opposite. X=0 is the absence of love or hate, "normalcy." And skierdood, you flatter me. :cheers2:
[high rambling]the analogy works even better if we imagine one of the emotions running along the Y axis. (0,0) is normalcy. (a,0) when a >0 = all love. (0, b) when b > 0 = all hate. (a,b) when a > 0 and b > 0 would be experiencing shades of love and hatred. Since I find it unlikely that everyone experiences these emotions in their absolute, purest form, it's probably safe to say for most people, the dot would not be on either axis.[/high rambling]
but then there is the question of degree. are love and hatred binary, as in you either love something or you dont; you hate it or you dont?
thats fucking profound. beautiful! i hate not being able to let go of hate. im getting better, but damn. i hate a lot.
i hate everything but to be specific, ill list those things and ppl that drive me to near murder. if i have to listen to some hot skinny bitch complain to me how fat she is, ill go on a killing spree. lucy. every time im driving at night and i see a pair of those xenon super bastardized bright ass headlights, i want to "fall asleep" and ram that person head on. do you realize that no one can fucking see the road when you are there? next time i see a driver traveling in the passing lane, goin the same speed as the person next to them, im slamming them into the guard rail. massachusettes drivers. being dope sick. doing that last line of coke. having "rusty pipes" getting into accidents because of cops that dont know how to fucking park
i can tell, when you arent tailgating me, you are slowing me down, you are always in the passing lane and are very skilled cutter-offers. i hope you dont meet that criteria bailey
North and South Dakota, like c'mon people, is there really a need to have 2 Dakotas, both states put together would still be worthless
I agree. I'm going to add - people can't drive in general. especially little asian women, and especially people on their goddamn cell phones.
Love and hate are no opposites for the simple fact that hate only gives negativity and love gives everything.
