Nope. Ever since I got into metal (pretty early) i found them worthless. But thrash was never really my cup of tea. I started out with stuff like Metallica which i dislike more and more as well. Their early stuff still stands though (and remarkebly is also bordering on thrash/speed metal).
Fuck they look old! Kirk now looks like my grandma http://youtu.be/4tdKl-gTpZg Dont mind the song though, gotta say
If you saw any value in St. anger you probably don't mind this song. If compared to anything with Clive Burton it is boring, uninspired, pointless and hardly even worthy of the name Metallica. Just like most stuff after the black album isn't. The greatest thing after the black album remains to be Garage inc imo.
I just have to laugh when Slayur is put forth as the best heaviest/hardest metal out there. Maybe in the 80s. edit: curiously enough black musicians are notoriously rare in the black metal scene
I think black folk are just rare around metal. It's definitely a white fella genre. Except for the odd few. I don't see many black people at gigs. 95% white 5% Asian.
I really can't remember them at concerts there either other than from memory we used to go to metro theatre a lot which is beside China town so you'd see them and I remember every Asian usually seems to be older than most others there and like southern Asian appearance. I think I see more Chinese asians around here.
Just crossed my mind because I noticed lots of Asians living in Australia but if there were more in Germany I would assume they are traveling to see the show.
SAXON is a band thats been around since 1979 ,they have turned out many many albums and never a bad record, and since the 90s ,have got heavier and better ,the stuff they have been turning out since about 2000 ,reminds me of ACDC , but in my opinion much better ,a very underrated band ,
Judas Priest and today just happens to be Rob Jalfirds birthday! The true metal God as far as I'm concerned.
