Well if they are all the same God as you would say, the only sure thing you can say about God is He is a liar. The bible states that all other Gods are false, so you are saying God created all the other false Gods while calling them false. The bible states that it is the Devil that leads nations to stray from the one true God. I believe it is the Devil that leads nations and people to follow false Gods, not God.
Jesus Is God. The reason they can't break through the East Gate is because it is resevered for the Son of man, who is also the Son of God. Have you not heard that God works in mysterious ways. Read Ezkiel Chapters 37,38,39. And then tell me these chapters are irrelevant. Can you tell me in the past when these events happened. I knew of these prophecies 25 years before you were even born. Read Zek.12 Look at what God says in that Chapter when He appears before Israel in the last days. And they shall look upon me whom they pierced, and they shall morn for me as a father would morn for his only son. Even the families the wives and the husbands will morn and seperate themselves, because they will see Christ, and will know He was the God their nation rejected, and murdered on the cross. Read Ezk. 37,38,39, and you will know why the Jews are back in Israel. God is going to shake this world, after the nations try to push the Jews out of Israel, they will learn what the Egyptians found out at the Red Sea Crossing.
I didn't say they were the same, but rather that one is not better than the rest, since they all go to the same place. Think of it, christians say that god is everywhere, he created this place and all that jazz. So why would he only give the straight story to the Jews, and through them, the Christians? If he's everywhere, wouldn't everyone, all throughout history, have been able to "contact" him? Why would God wait for so long, all through history until around 30 AD to let humankind know how to save themselves? It doesn't make any sense that God would hide himself and let humankind just sin without knowing any better until Jesus came (ok, so he told the Jews, but even that was wrong if Jesus is the only Way). What about the rest of the world? I say if God is everywhere, then everyone can get to him, and have. They just describe it differently in different places, because their culture has led them to do so, they frame the experience differently, but it's the same experience. Once you get through all the cultural differences, you end up with the same reality.
only considering the fact that the core message of the Bible ( Jesus saves, Jesus loves ya) is extremely capable of bridging any gaps of cultural difference is contradictory to what you say. And God's plan didn't change (as if the OT would be wrong). the thing is that His plan develops. In OT times, salvation was by faith just as it is now. The difference is that in OT times they looked FORWARD to the coming of the messiah, now (NT times actually) in our faith we look BACK to the cross - the battle has allready been won, one only has to claim the victory of Jesus.
-Ok but the Gods that DO claim that they are the only way (by the way you think that all Gods are the same) would be considered LIARS.... What kind of God lies??
I was listening 25 years before you were born. And can you tell me why they have been unable to open the East Gate in Jerusalem? I'm listening.
Because its waiting for the messiah? It's totally irrelevant to either of our points, because we both believe the messiah will open it. the difference is who the messiah will be. I was detailed long ago. I see no need to constantly repeat the same thing, in different words. Only small children, people with memories like sieves, and those who cannot grasp what has been said need to constantly be told things. Pick a category, sweetheart.
The messiah only had a small time portal to fulfill the first prophecies concering Him, and the 300 prophecise that you say are not prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus Christ. So who do you think the Messiah will be? And why would you believe the messiah would be coming when you have all ready stated that the old testament is the first five books of the bible which does not speak of the Messiah? Those books do not mention the east gate either? So why do you believe the Messiah would be comeing through the East Gate anyway?
I believe a messiah will come despite their lack of inclusion in the torah because the torah isn't the only holy book we have, for one. The concept was there long ago, but the prophesies relating to the messiah were not written until far far later, I think about 300BC but don't quote me on that. The messiah could be anyone. You should really know your history, if you're so big on jesus being the messiah. Know what the initial writings said. sheesh. This covers most bases and is a really reputable site. Hopefully you'll learn something about your history, this history which you seem to believe begins and ends with the bible and dead sea scrolls. http://www.jewfaq.org/moshiach.htm
I feel that there is one God, called by many names, not that all Gods are the same. What kind of God lies? Well, the God of the Bible may not lie, but from the old to new testament, He sure seemed to change His mind. What kind of God changes his mind? I firmly believe that there is not only one way, and that the followers who say that are the ones who are claiming that, in God's name. God never told me that.
god did not change his mind, god never changes he is a rock in which we can stand strong,he will never fail you! he never changed his mind but he did change things,he alweays descided to change things but only wen the time was right, the time to bring christ down from heaven to save us! his true intentions for us before sin first happened was to ahve a relationship with us,but then because of adam and eve, that changed, not because of god changing his mind but they made abad desision which seperated them from god.gods intention was then to redeem us,he wanted us back he wated his original intentions for us to be lived again! so he sent his son jesus so that this relationship and unity could be restored.
Well your right the torah is not the only book you have yet you were talking as if it was. No the Messiah could not be anyone, he would have to be the one who would fulfill the prophecies. Those are the prophecies most Jews ignore, and then point the finger at everyone else as not knowing them. Jesus told us that when He would go, the Holy Spirit would come and teach us all things. The Holy Spirit is my teacher, and I have heard the audible voice of God. It is God who reveals the hidden truth. Those who follow the teachings of men are only left to repeat their confusion. The God that is a mystery to you is the Messiah I have already heard from. I have walked the approches of Heaven, I have heard the voice of God. I need no other teacher for I have met the teacher of teachers. God of wonder and mystery. Jesus Christ is alive and is the God of all creation. He is the one the Jewish nation will see in the last days. Zechaariah 11:10 And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplications. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grives for a first born son. Who did Israel pierce, and why will mourn over Him so?
Well it may appear that way to you, but the bible clearly teaches that the law given in the old Testament, to show how impossible it would be to work your way to heaven. Jesus death was the blood sacrifice given to men for the covering for the sins of the world. All who accept His sacrifice would receive the covering for their sins. The bible clearly teaches that there is no other name under heaven given to men to be saved, but the name of Jesus Christ. If this is not true, then the bible and it's teachings, are the biggest lie in history. The bible is not a book of lies, it is the book of truth, and life to all who receive it's message.
