Whenever I have a sickie and I am actually sick, that is going to be confined to the couch for the day with soup. There usually has to be one Clint movie involved. This one, Dirty Harry, Unforgiven, Gran Tourino Shit, Dirty Harry will be 50 years old in a couple of years.
I have two versions of this DVD and Bluray and I have never ever watched it. I feel like I need to be in the mood for it and can never find myself in that mood. In between though I'm re-watching movies I've seen like 10 times.
I was talking about movies with a friend of mine and his syrian neighbour and as it is a favourite of me and my friend we planned to go watch it with said neighbour. After chilling with him while watching Harold & Kumar go to Guantanamo bay it is time to show him some real cinematic art :-D This movie is quite lengthy, but one of the greatest pieces in film history imo. The way they depict this historic era and events (especially when compared to american westerns from the 50's/60's), the lack of real good, the camera use. It is just awesome in every aspect. I love For a few dollars more only slightly less btw. Fantastic stuff. Once there really was a 'Hollywood by the Tiber'...
They all crack me up. That whole money making scheme of the good and the ugly. Angel Eyes at that bed closing the deal after murdering that poor farmer/dad: Baker: Here, this is for you. You did a good job for me. Worth five hundred dollars Angel Eyes: Oh I almost forgot. He gave me a thousand. I think his idea was that I kill you. And you know the pity is when I'm paid... I always follow my job through.
