The first thing I noticed about the girl on the right wearing the cultured pearls is that her smile is absolutely genuine. She undoubtedly comes from a very close-knit nurturing and loving family.

You are probably half right. I also have a sympathy for women and the pressure they are put under to look like the blond chick and I don't understand why someone would attach such a vision of homeliness and wholeness to one that looks like she could go either way, skank or saint.

My main gripe is the fact that all the blokes seem smitten by the stereotypically pretty one. I have a complex about these things.

that's what I suspected. have you considered that it's unfair to hate on girls like that blonde beer pixie just because the general aesthetics of society elevate them to that status?
I'm all for unconventional beauty, but I hear a lot of plain chicks getting called attractive and pretty ones are often automatically accused of being conceited.
