I remember Humphrey and his outhouse bicycle. And Little Lulu. And Super Duck. And the Katzenjammer Kids. And The Heap---and---and---
I often find most comedy in real life. My years at Heathrow were the best...... 2 examples spring to mind The guy who was in a hurry and decided that it was quicker to run up the down escalator than wait for a few seconds to get to the one going up. I still remember him arriving at the top exhausted with all the luggage he was carrying and not being able to make the final spurt to get to the top landing. Watching coming back down again facing the wrong way, after running while appearing to be standing still was hilarious. The second was the smart business guy who asked me for directions to his departure gate. I pointed to the correct pier and told him that is was the 3rd gate on the left. It was hard not to collapse laughing when he asked me which side of the pier was left. Their is a saying among airport staff that passengers pack their brains and common sense in their luggage.
Man I miss the old classics! I have so many books, compilations of comics... in storage up north. I miss my stuff... but who wants to travel in California right now at peak fire season with a plague running rampant? Do I see any volunteers? Ha. I thought not. Thank GOD for funnies!
