What will be the first album you listen to in 2005? On what note do you want to kick off this new year? I ended 2004 with Brian Eno's Here Come the Warm Jets, and I think I'll start off 2005 with a good, old friend: The Velvet Underground's White Light/White Heat.
The first song I heard was Motley Crue's Girls, Girls, Girls... on tv. Yet to listent to an album as I'm transitioning to my non-computer music playing systems and I'm going to fall asleep to keller williams.
im staring the new year out on the right foot with nick drakes "pink moon", *sigh*, such a wonderful album
I ended 2004 with Abbey Road, which ironically was their last album recorded... First cd I've listened to this year, and still the only one, is What's the Story, Morning Glory?, they are quite addictive To answer a question that wasn't asked, I think the first album that I'll listen to that's produced in '05 will be We are the Radio by Brian Jonestown Massacre.
First album I listened to this year was The Look of Love by Diana Krall; I'd not heard her before, but the next door neighbours invited me over for a drink, and that's what was playing. They gave me whiskey and a cigar as well, wasn't that nice of them?
the first song i heard this year was The Byrds' 'Eight Miles High', the first album i listened to was Captain Beefheart's 'Safe As Milk'
