Hacking thrived when Piers Morgan was editor there. He's trying his best to deny everything. Can't wait until they indict him!

But I guess the Murdocks are Winning! They've managed to take the spotlight off themselves for a few days. Suddenly no more front page headlines, even the networks are barely mentioning the scandal anymore.

Hopefully a lack of headlines won't make the charges against Murdoch jr somehow vanish.

This puts it into perspective a little bit:

Let's not forget that the game is deep and varied. There are pawns, scapegoats, distractions and hurdles. Let's hope this hurdle is overcome so this issue can be driven home, right to government. We've always known our governments have been hacking and illegally monitoring all kinds of communique; let's not forget it. This should not end at Murdoch.

I think at this point the media are either:
    1. Too scared to point finger at Murdock, cause they may guilty of the same things.
    2. Been threatened by New Corp's lawyers with slander if they continue making reports.
    3. Are too busy with the "Debt" issue propaganda to focus on News Corp.

I see the whole "debt" thing btw as just a distraction from all the other shit going down right now. Of course they'll raise the limit. It's just posturing for elections and donations.

This whole thing is following a very common trend - it is dying out as new non-news comes along.

Oh, woe is me. Why do we have to live in a ADHD society when it takes sometimes upwards of a year to even arrange to bring someone to justice?

Alex Salmond was apparently a good friend of Murdoch. This does not surprise me in the least.

So the new evidence is contained in two letters that were submitted to Parliament.

One from Clive Goodman, mentions that everyone there knew about hacking and talked about it constantly, to the point that editor Andy Coulson had to ban anyone from mentioning it (this was 4 years earlier). So Andy knew about the hacking for sure, but denied it later to get the job as Cameron's advisor.

Second letter from an investigative firm that News Corp used to exonerate themselves from wrong-doing claims, says the firm never looked at wider issues at News of the World, only Clive Goodman's termination issues. They say any attempt by News Corp to use their investigation to clear themselves is absurd as that was never the issue they investigated.

Yup, they must all be running scared now!

Finally, the smoking gun that's gonna incriminate them all.

And lying before Parliament. Is that a crime? If it was the US Congress, they'd be held "in contempt", and be in big trouble.

I'd imagine it to be a crime of sorts. I don't know if this is the Rosetta stone, but it is definitely enough to keep the embers hot.

CNN is reporting that he will or might be called back to parliament.
