The "New World Order" certainly looks a lot like the old world order. Corruption, lies, etc. The only thing that's changed is we now have 21st century surveillance and policing making sure that any one that can speak out, doesn't.

I like the way Murdoch was trying to pass the buck by saying he had no idea and that he can't control what all his 53,000 staff do. Well tough luck old boyo, I'm afraid that goes with the territory. If you can't run a business without it going out of control then maybe you should be be running a business that size..

I don't want to come as across as ageist here, but the man's fucking 80 years old. Maybe he would like to spend the last few years of his life living it up? Oh sorry i forgot I forgot he was a multi-billionaire oligarch. Work to the elite chosen ones usually involves having lunch, or playing a few rounds golf.

 

If you cant trust the police that protects you, the media who informs you or the aggressive hand with which justice is fairly served...what do you have left to count on?

Murdoch almost got a shaving cream tray to the face, made me giggle. Would have been the first great stunt of the decade if it was successful.

I hope this crosses the pond, I hope that News Corps stocks get so low that not even the poorest investor in the world would touch it with his consideration, I hope that he looses a billion dollars and then a billion more.

This has been a really interesting case to follow, and now I hear there are going to be investigations on rival tabloid newspapers in the UK - the Mirror and a few others (sorry if that has already been posted), there is no doubt in my mind that the methods employed by NOTW are used by journalists everywhere - and I doubt it's limited to the tabloids. This is a very scary case of business, media and government all being far too friendly with each other. Murdoch is a very, very powerful man, this will in no way destroy him, many people are already saying this was just a good way to get rid of NOTW and rebrand it.

 

The Sunday Mirror's approach to tabloid journalism is now being called into question.
