im an emo kid, non-conforming as can be youd be non-conforming to if you looked just like me ive got paint on my nails and make up on my face im almost emo enough to start shaving my legs cos i feel real deep when im dressing in drag i call it freedom love expression you just call me a fag! (im not homophobic thats just the lyrics to the song)
I support the emo coutner culture as much as the hippie one. I am definitaly not a emo, but technically is the emo's are idiots than so are we.
And the reason hippies are fucking idiots is because they think they can change the world when they cant and havnt change shit. They take drugs basically to be cool and then they get fucked up and/or go insane. They are also idiots beacsue they spend most of the time assesing other people and society without looking at themselves and/or fixing things. Emo's may think its cool to be depressed but hippies think its cool to fuck themselves with drugs and, therfore become depressed. Either way they both think its cool to be depressed. Either that or they are stupid and on't think drugs lead to depression.
i was saying not to focus on the negative and to be happy. You were just focusing on the negative. If no one made an effort to try and change the world, everyone will still hate blacks, women still wont be allowed in the work place and we'll just be pushed around by evil people. So im going to shout out and help make the world better and go to clean up aus day because the world needs fixing and if some people just dont wanna try then dont complain how things are.
waht the fuck is this.Arent you meant to be hippies. What do umean Emos are wrong to be depressed. Who the fuck are you, a a proclaimed hippie, to say that. Your nickname suggests you support the values of woodstock. They are depressed and all you people tell them is that theya re faking it and they should get over it . Your all fucking jokes. Thats my piece
I dont really care about emos and stuff, i made this thread from a lack of anything intelligent to say.. but if you think out of the box, the emo movement isnt that positive at all... People who firstly, look at those Emos, think they are cool, and will suddenly join the movement, will in a way adopt the "depressing" states all Emos are in. Hence, suicidal rates climbing at a uncanny speed. Why do you think suicide is climbing like crazy for the past few years? ya .. i though so
get over it mate - and stop cussing Gilmour. I dont know if id expect someone who belives in a myth from years ago to believe in the true spirit of woodstock. I hate religious snobs - why dont you accept other ways of life. Fairs fair, i shouldnt have said wrong - and im not telling anyone what to do but doesnt mean i can't be dissapointed in their ways. I dont understand why so many people like you hang out on this site when your such anti-hips...
Sorry, mate, but that is the most fucking retarded thing I've ever heard. First of all, suicide rates are actually on the decline. Secondly, implying suicides are caused my Emo is baseless - you might as well blame the sale of dogfood. Realistically, you'd blame deprived social conditions and increased access to lethal means. Canadian Suicide Rates (per 100,000) '81:14 '91:13.3 '96:13.2 '97:12.3
It's just a piss-off when people waste their energy following some stupid fucking stereotype when there are a million more important issues. But everybody has to find their identity somehow, I suppose.
ya i know... but i couldnt care less about the identity people choose. its just, when you do choose a certain i dunno, label. you kinda restrict yourself from things, you set your personality to a certain standard, listening to a particular type of music, and doing this and that particular things. I find that "hippies" are simply like, the most natural kinda group... its what you get when you find your true human identity. note that many of them use psychedelics or are in to certain forms of meditation and mind expanding.
i agree about the lameness of the stereotypes.. but think for a few seconds, you are here on a hippie forum... some of your values, of your perceptions MUST cross the ones of the so called "hippies" dont you think?
I had a conversation on The Rolling Stones with a guy who say he's ''emo''.. It turns out he was a huge fan and knew more about them than me ... So apparence and stereotype doesn't mean anything and i was happily surprised by how cool was the guy ... Haha pointless but true nonetheless
Not particularly. None of the positive values people associate with "hippies" are at all exclusive to them.
I am just so sick of seeing the same kid every single day. It gets old. Some people may enjoy the confines of a conformity identity, I however do not. There is no unique anymore. Everyone is everyone elses inspiration.
