Still Pence has said that he hasn't ruled out using the 25th if Trump becomes more unstable. I imagine he hopes by stating that, it will keep Trump in line until the 20th. But if he doesn't invoke it today then Pelosi will start the impeachment process.

 

The House Democrats have filed an impeachment charge accusing Trump of "incitement of insurrection". They'll vote on it Wednesday.

And the FBI is warning of plans for armed protests at all 50 state capitals and in Washington starting Sunday and leading up to President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration next Wednesday. If it happens in all 50 states, what are the odds of none of them turning violent?

Crazy times, people.

 

What are the odds of any of them being peaceful?

 

I don't think they'll all turn violent, but some will.

 

Trump must be pressured into making a statement to his minions saying, "Do not take part in any armed protests. If you wish to protest that's fine, but don't show up armed. Keep it peaceful, I don't want anyone killed or hurt on my behalf. And besides, any insurrection has no hope of succeeding."

If he doesn't he should also be held accountable for any further violence.

So Pence won't invoke the 25th Amendment and the House has voted to impeach him a 2nd time. However Mitch McConnell has stated the impeachment vote in the Senate won't take place until after the inauguration. That could be a ploy to discourage any further riots, because if the Pro-Trump militia escalates the violence it could lead to more votes to impeach. Ten Republican house members voted for impeachment, and if 17 Republican Senators vote for it then he's convicted. Anyway the Senate will vote next week at the earliest on impeaching Ex-President Trump.

 

To be honest, I would like to see "The 4000 Militia Moron March" turn into 4000 guys charged with weapons violations... which I believe would be felony charges.

 

No doubt Trump is the worst president ever and should never be allowed to hold public office ever again,

But there are limits...………..

Macaulay Culkin fully supports the removal of Donald Trump's cameo from Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Hephatrump was Impeached a second time last night in a vote in Congress. Some of the Republicans (Ten) voted with the Democrats but 197 Republicans voted against the resolution. Given that they knew what Hephatrump had done, and also saw the results of it last week in and outside their own offices and on the floor of Congress, these 197 Republican Representatives now have to return to their respective constituents and explain to them the reasons why they voted against the resolution.

 

Many of those "constituents" would be just fine with that... Some of them were in the mob that took over the Capitol.

Well we got through the weekend without any major incidents. With all the heightened security it seems unlikely anything devastating will happen. Three more days, three more days!

Still, look at it. Washington DC + all 50 state capitols are under martial law. The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize, and yes we're terrorized! Once Biden is President, while most of Trump's supporters will accept it and move on, there's still plenty of lunatic fringe in his cult. I'm concerned that once the alert is lifted and we drop our guard there will be attacks by individuals or small groups rather than huge mobs.

 

I think when all of these chickenshit trump supporters see a bunch of M4s pointed at them, they will have second thoughts.
