Texas did make it very hard for ordinary people to vote. They need a court case shoved down their gizzard.

 

For most of my life, America could claim some kind of moral high ground in terms of democracy and rule of law. Trump has discarded that like yesterday’s garbage and incredibly Republicans seem to want to get down in the offal with Trump. It’s going to be a tough job to undo all the damage to our nation they have caused in their self-serving, sniveling, greedy and just plain despicable insanity.

 

Explain. Are you saying that the electors will ignore the popular vote in their states and go with partisan inclinations or the political will of state leaders? Let's get this out in the open: you don't believe in democracy? Or the Constitution of our republic? Or federalism? Or the laws of the land? All that counts for you is victory for your side?

 

Sure you can use the psychology angle, but these people have always been out there. Trump calls them the silent majority,
I call them the vocal minority.

Rarely do we ever heard from them but when we do they generally make a splash in the news like ………..

We're waiting with baited breath to see how you explain away the Supreme Court's decision on the Texas suit. It should open a new chapter on the psychopathology of Trumpism. Maybe you should look into another news source besides Populist Press. Or maybe professional help.

Interesting angles to SCOTUS's decision in the Texas case. The basis was lack of standing. Texas and the other 20 nebnoses had no business butting in to the business of their sister states' electoral laws. A victory for federalism, which the Retrumplicans used to be big on. And all three of the Trump appointees went with the opinion of the court There were only two concurrences: Alito and Thomas. They differed from the majority for technical procedural reasonss: they didn't think standing was applicable in an original jurisdiction case (states suing other states). But they said they agreed relief should not be granted on other grounds.

So what's next for the Retrumplicans? Will they refuse to accept the decision of the Electoral College. Will Trump take Gen.Flynn's advice, declare martial law, and declare the November election null and void. Stay tuned for another exciting episode of the Carnival of Madness!

The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution,” read the court's one-page order. “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot.”
