But my hair is like maybe 10 inches and I'm not having any trouble getting them to form.

hello everyone. i recently lost my nattys due to lice i want to get new ones but the old set took me for ever. i just need some possitive influence and some egging on. help me out fellow dread lovers.

the only thing i didnt like about my dreads was the profiling when i went for job interviews and stuff like that. anyone else get this? its really annoying and upsetting. My dreads were always pulled back and neat, but still i got the looks and had trouble finding a job. anyway to minimize this?

 

hey joey, i never had any hostility or anything looking for job...iv been complimented by possible employers for my dreads actually. I dunno, completely different settings i spose...new york city compared to small irish town hey lux how do people react to your dreads in dublin?
Dont be disheartened either joey, it'll be worth the patience when you have locks again

 

I've had crazy hairstyles the past few years so am used to people staring...depends where I am in Dublin lol. Now that I have them I notice that there are actually a good few dreadheads around Ireland. I see about one a day when I'm out. And I never noticed before! Older people don't realli know what to say about them but younger people think they're great

 

yeah younger ppl and thought my dreads were awsome after they were locked up and all, but still older people, like employers and police totaly thought that they meant i was a bad person, well thats what i believe thought, judging by the glares and comments. im am gunna wait till i move out of my dads house again though, cuz i know hes gunna ba bitchy about me getting them again. i plan to move out in a few months. but ill let you know how it all works out.

they are 2 and a half months and doing great. I love having them ^-^
