    hey all!

my name is katie and i'm from massachusetts... i just put in dreads a few days ago... i backcombed them in and am hoping to let them run wild once they start to lock... especially in the back, they are loose and keep falling out... but i'm staying away from wax! woo! this is the only picture i've got of my babies so far, the morning after i put them in, so they're crazy and half-formed... more pictures to come as they lock up!

    -katie.

I admit I am an obsessive palmroller. I don't think I've hurt them or anything though, and they are staying pretty tight after washing, except in the nape area, where I think I'm going to have some merging and weirdness.

Hey everyone my name is Alex and I have been wanting to dread my hair for a while. I finally got everything I thought I needed about a week ago so a friend and I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately when you search for dread making instructions on the net you get all the dread corp shit and I ended up using wax to put my dreads in. About 2 days later I stumbled on this forum and learned about the natural dreading process so I am in the process of taking the wax out of my hair now and will naturally dread my hair starting now.

I live in dayton ohio, but I'm moving to columbus in september with 5 of my friends to live in a bad ass house and attend OSU. Im studying philosophy and sociology. My other intrests include music, partying and all the dorky shit you can imagine.

I really take pride in my hair so I am very dissapointed with this wax buisness =( here are some before pics and a pic of the waxy intruder.

    This was in December--
