Yeah check out the wwoof site, it's always a cheap way to get around. Anyway it's nearly more fun when you have fuck all money. I'm sure there's always a soup kitchen somewhere if you get really stuck!! :D :p

yay! dreads are fun to fidget with. my nan frowned at me the other day thinking dreads were only for rastafarians and black people.... *wince* poor misguided lady. all my family think its a phase grr...they like things just so

    anyhoo! hi everybody!

    Hi Lozi,
    Welcome here.

Buddha you're totally right about Nelson. I straight went crazy there after like nine months. Its third eye energy. I dunno about SaltSpring tho. Its more heart. I've lived there twice now and haven't gone crazy yet. Theres lotsa people that have lived there for a long long long time that don't seem very crazy to me. It certainly attracts eccentric artsy types and freethinkers tho. Its true that its very healing energy. Neway the lavendar farms should be a go for work. I was friends with this Aussie that worked there. Purple flowers that smell good.
If you wond up staying later, mid to end of August you can pick blackberries at the winery on SaltSpring and you get paid by the pound. That ones straight cash and not bad cash either if you're quick. I did it last summer after planting.

Yea, pretty much. I did do a little sectioning but they are all different sizes and 2 dreads formed into one and 3 dreads into one...so I got some fattys in the back. Overall though, I pretty much don t do anything to them except wash them every so often. been dreaded about a yr and a half but, have been growing my hair for like 4yrs so they are pretty long.... No plan on every cutting them off........
