    ok, and now to myself..:)

although I don't have dreads I decided to post here.. I hope it doesn't matter

ok, as I see, you all are "dready speacialists", so I just wanted to ask you..

    SHOULD I DREAD MY HAIR!?

I ask, because many people told me I should, that dreads would look great on me.. and then many people told me I have too beautiful hair to dread.. I don't know..

    what do you think? :)

most are welcome in my home, and life...crystal, i'd be happy to chill with you and be buds! the ganja is always burning, the couch is always fluffed, and there is much to see and do!!! you too fleassy...gimmie a shout when you're in town. and thanks for the compliment on my locks! i appreciate it. edited to add: i love brighton! it was one of my fave places i hit up in the uk, lots of rad stuff going on, very amazing folks. so...cool that you live there. i wouldn't be too anxious to leave myself...

and electric - i got asked to do a particular talk at the tell'n'show...but i didn't have time to put it together yet. still thinkin' about it though, still interested...in calgary with the fam for the holidays though, not really getting anything done...ugh. but it's good to be with the people i love and don't get to see as regularly as those who live in the same city.

Yea huckster cool :) i'm looking to fly out june some time and return mid august. all depending on how much money i have for places to stay and food to eat.

Do you know of any cash in hand work that might be going on in vic?

Im also looking for any gardens to camp in (or floors to sleep on :p) as the less hostels i have to pay out for the better.... though it would be great to revisit ocean island because it was a great place.

Also do you think it would do me good to bring things to sell? clothes, jewelry, drawings? i've forgotten what its like out there as far as selling things goes? im guessing as i dont remember many fly pitchers in vic that fly pitching a market stall wouldnt be well advised??

Just trying to find ways to cut my costs down as i will allready be shelling out about £400 for the flights :S

Theres a hostel where you can work for your stay...I thinks it's the Ocean Island, you have to pay for your first night, but after that I think its three hours of work for your stay. It's on Pandora.
They'll be a coast rainbow gathering probably in August, thats def a free place to stay and food to eat for a month. There will be lots of travellin kids well versed in living the west coast free life to be met there.
Theres lots of tourists in Victoria that may or may not want to buy your things, they'll be really good for the trade circle at the gathering.
Theres a Saturday Market on SaltSpring in the morning, where theres people selling handmade things. It costs alot for a table but people put blankets down in the park beside the market and sell there wares without paying for a table. Theres money to be made that way especially peak tourist season.
You could bring camping gear and find a place in the forest on SaltSpring. Theres lavender farms on SaltSpring you could work on too, for cash. You should check out woofing, thats Working On Organic Farms. You work like four to six hours a day, like five days a week or less if you're staying for less than that, and they give you a place to stay and all the organic food you can eat.
Theres a Krishna temple in Vancouver that serves free food that has been blessed and is healthy.
You could go fruit picking in the Okanagen. Cherries are the best. Theres lots of irie travellers there and theres defininitly under the table picking jobs.
If you go to Vancouver and firetwirl on Robson street, you'll make at least sixty dollars in an hour before the cops tell you to stop, they won't take your toys away, especially if you tell them you're not from here. If you firetwirl in gasoline alley in Van the cops don't bug you at all for some reason, but the money's not as good as Robson.
Saltspring is a five dollar short boat ride away from Victoria, its free to get back.
Also theres huge deposits of rose quartz on SaltSpring.
That was fun, and a great way to put off packing a lil longer. :p

yes i can definitly help you out with where to dumpster...but it sounds like there are a lot of great resources on this board for that, 'specially if you've already chilled and been shown around by electric buddha...and what everybody else said about where to stay/how to make some $$ is all very good advice. it's easy to sell things in vic in the summer, but i don't know that much about van...and it's also relatively easy to find a couch or a floor to crash on here...i'm not exactly sure where i'll be in the summer, but i know i'll be in vic for most of it.

dunno about finding cash in hand jobs...things tend to be pretty tight in terms of sin #'s and all that here...but fruit picking, as crystaleyez said, is always a go...tho' that's more in the interior than on the island. there are quite a lot of farms around here that you can probably find some work on though, and if you get the WWOOF guide there is a lot of listings for the big island, and the other gulf islands as well. good luck in your travels!

Salt spring is defiantly a very very powerful place, its not meant to be a place for permanent residents. the energy is so powerful and very healing but if you stay for too long you start to go crazy,
Same with Nelson, Deposits of courtz and amethyst, plus it's on one of the seven chakras of the earth (magnetic energy centres), some say as we move into the new "golden age" it will be the next heart chakra.
If I’m correct they will be building some form of Tibetan temple there.
