Boogabaah... wow http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/data/500/dreadsfrombehind.jpg mine from behind....
thank ya thank ya! everyone here looks soooooo great! i love seeing all the dreadies! i must admit i "lurk" this thread just to compare my head to others.
i had problems resizing these pics earlier (hence the "whoops..." in my post above), but they´re OK now. i guess they´re still pretty big, but whatever... R.I.P. July 24th 2001 - March 31st 2007 and it had been a little over 6 years since i last cut my hair (dec. 2000) my natural dread scarf. i used to really use this to keep warm when there was cold wind blowing
the curly ends of some dreads all of my congos (6 out of 11 dreads were congos - not counting the little guys) the tam i used to wear my reasons for cutting were that they were getting really heavy, hot, and somewhat smelly. every time i washed, i would get really bad neck and shoulder muscle aches. plus, anytime i bent over or something and they swung out, they´d pull like a motherfucker on my neck. and since some dreads were really dense, they could never really dry properly. i think mold was starting to grow inside a couple. i have absolutely no regrets and i´m happy i did it. now, i plan on doing what i was doing before, which is nothing. i´m not going to cut my hair again for a long, long time. perhaps i´ll go another 6 years!
Haha, woah, crazy! Welcome to the club, dude. You look great. That was a big issue for me, too, though mine weren't as big as yours yet. I was having bad headaches and my neck and shoulders were sore from holding all that weight. Plus, yeah, I also started to notice them smelling bad, and retaining water and gook. Anyways, congrats on your decision, man. They were tremendous dreads, but all things must pass. Feels great, hey!?
These are updated pics: Sorry bout the bad lighting and cheap grainy webcam photos.... I pawned my digital camera for crack...
