ive been vegetarian for 7 months, and while i congratulate you on going this long, if i were in your position i wouldnt have been able to give into eting meat again- there are plenty of people who eat a few times a week because they simply don't have access to food- are you telling me you couldn't have asked her to go to the store and get peanut butter, bread, and cereals? that couldnt have tided you over for three weeks?
Yeah but that's wrong because a vegetarian eats Dairy, so it is not an Herbivore because his or her diet contains plants and Dairy, not just plants. a vegan would be an herbivore, but not a vegetarian. peace and Love, Dan
It said chiefly on plants. Chiefly = mainly, for the most part, almost all Herbivore only really applies to animals, they don't have complicated lifestyles like people do. Just had a funny thought, vegan food is sometimes called 'plant based cusine', what do they mean based? it's not like they eat anything but plants.
retrofishie, when we signed up on this journey (and veg*anism is a journey)we probably weren't given very good maps. if you are uncomfortable with meat consumption, do offer to cook side dishes you will eat. Plus you get to hang in the kitchen with these women who treated cooking as something more than a chore and really communicate. I was finally able to get my reasons through my mom's skull last Thanksgiving while I made critter-free stuffing/dressing and extra salads and green beans. I learned a lot about how my veg journey had changed as I explained it, too. years ago (1980) I decided that the diety didn't want her creations killed for food. now I also believe that we have a stewardship responsibility to eat natural foods and organics as much as possible. that actually surprised me, as I had just been doing it without consciously thinking "hey, I need to save the planet and do x, y or z." also, treat the relatives to dinner just to be nice. I cook some omni food at home, usually shrimp because I pour it in the pan without touching it, so I know its ...odd... to cook two-track. But it can work. and no, I don't et the omni pan food.
Yes... as vegetarianism does refer to a wide range of consumption... most prominent being lacto-ovo...
Like the other person said, it says chiefly. And a vegetarian can also eat eggs, not just dairy. And so what. Theres still no fish in a diet which consists of eggs, milk, and plants. I didnt write the definitions. Its not my fault humans created ways to bend the rules of cruelty-free diets. Don't beat me up for something I didn't write.
