Just in from the BBC...Ukraine dropped investigation of Paul Manafort. Actually old news but we now see it in a new light.
But wait there's more. The NY Times has reported that Ukraine dropped the investigation into Paul Manafort last year...wait for it ....to get Javelin missiles. As reported by MSNBC:
I think that's been provided by the Mueller report. Maybe Schiff will now have an opportunity to expand on it. Mueller didn't pursue it because there is no crime of collusion. Conspiracy is a more difficult charge to prove, but the committee might give it a try.
Five Bombshells all in the space of a few hours, well actually four bombshells and one wet firecracker. Lawyers for the House of Representatives revealed on Monday that they have reason to believe that the grand-jury redactions in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report show that President Donald Trump lied about his knowledge of his campaign’s contacts with WikiLeaks. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was among administration officials who listened in on the July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a senior State Department official said Monday, a disclosure that ties the State Department more closely to the House impeachment inquiry. President Trump pushed the Australian prime minister during a recent telephone call to help Attorney General William P. Barr gather information for a Justice Department inquiry that Mr. Trump hopes will discredit the Mueller investigation, according to two American officials with knowledge of the call. the Washington Post reported that Attorney General William Barr also sought foreign assistance in building a case to discredit the Mueller report, by contacting British intelligence officials and personally traveling to Italy last week to meet with officials. Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura hinted at a possible White House bid as an independent during an interview over the weekend, while harshly criticizing President Trump. (Jesse Ventura was always a bit crazy, but now he’s really gone off the rails with his conspiracy theories)
Lol, how is "reason to believe" a bombshell? Is this a case where you think if they keep repeating the word "bombshell" something might actually turn into a bombshell?
Dude let’s get this straight, regardless of how hard you try to defend this traitor to democracy – His Presidency is finished. And btw I didn’t characterize them as bombshells, every legitimate media outlet in America did, except for Jesse Ventura running as an independent candidate.
I agree Trump is a traitor to democracy whose actions are indefensible. That his presidency is finished is wishful thinking. As the late, great Yogi Berra put it: "It ain't over till its over".
It’s possible he could pull a rabbit out of his ass at the last moment, but at least now we know If trump is impeached in the House, the Senate President will follow protocol and there will be a debate and vote in the Senate. – let the chips fall where they may.
He doesn't have to pull out any rabbits. Just a few Republican Senators, and several are stuck deeply up that ass. It takes a two-thirds vote of the Senate to convict and remove.
I am now wondering how many average americans in the street are even following this. Because now with conspiracy theories getting thrown about by both sides its all getting pretty damn complicated. Even if you did get both house and senate to vote. (There is no such thing as an "official" impeachment inquiry) ....would most americans even understand what he was getting impeached for? There are some parts that are a bit how ya doin, but the whole thing is getting too nuts now You go to the polls in 13 months. Sarcastic tweetz about Thunberg or too many tweets where he sounds like a spoilt child will do far more damage than anything to do with a dodgy ex USSR state......and you still have to come up with a decent Dem candidate that doesnt have one foot in the grave and doesnt want to spend a years federal budget on windmills
Then the Pentagon will have to decide, and he could be the first commander-in-chief killed by his own troops.
