It's also the approach that has precipitated a string of business failures for him: Trump airlines, Trump bottled water, Trump casinos, etc. Instead of adjusting to changing conditions and listening to the more rational-minded people around him, Trump is known to become more defiant, dig his hole deeper, and direct his energies at perceived solutions that become increasingly narrow. It may be his downfall for the 2020 election. Instead of moving toward the mainstream and the needs of the general public, he appears to be relying heavily on the sordid race-flavored tactics to garner as many of what remain of his ardent supporters. He thinks that it may yield just enough votes to eke out another electoral college victory like it did in 2016. He is currently using this approach in North Carolina that involves race-baiting to try to hang on to its 15 electoral votes that he won in 2016 by about 3.6% of the popular state vote. It's an approach he may feel compelled to use now more than ever after making unreasonabe promises in 2016 to states like PA and WV, such as bringing back the steel- and coal-producing industries like they were in the 1950's which isn't happening.
Trump will recycle that meme in the days leading up to one of his rallies in Texas, like he did his old race-baiting meme in North Carolina this week.
‘Impeach the M—- F—-r, Illegals are more American than Americans. President is a racist, we run concentration camps, May Allah wake up the world to Jewish evil, ICE agents are Nazis, All about the Benjamin’s, BDS etc etc etc... America is the best thing that ever happened to the world. Criticize her intelligently but don’t be disrespectful to her or her citizens.
How Trump could lose by 5 million votes and still win in 2020 Analysis: The nation's two most populous states, California and Texas, are at the heart of Democrats' geography problem. By David Wasserman July 19, 2019, 1:16 PM EDT / Updated July 19, 2019, 1:32 PM EDT How Trump could lose by 5 million votes and still win in 2020 excerpt: "But Trump could lose Michigan and Pennsylvania and still win the Electoral College, so long as he carries every other place he won in 2016. And Wisconsin didn't provide as clear a verdict in 2018. Even with favorable turnout in a "blue wave," Democrats won Wisconsin's governor's race only by a point and failed to gain a House seat. If enough Trump voters who sat out 2018 — particularly white working-class men — return to the polls in 2020, the Badger State could easily stay red. There are three other states Trump carried by fewer than five points in 2016 that could play a decisive role in 2020: Arizona (3.5 percent), Florida (1.2 percent) and North Carolina (3.7 percent). Of the "Sun Belt" trio, Florida was the closest in 2016 yet remains one of Democrats' biggest frustrations. Over the past four years of census data, it had the nation's eighth sharpest increase in the nonwhite share of voting-age citizens. But the Sunshine State's trend lines favor Trump: The rapid influx of conservative Midwestern retirees to the Panhandle and Gulf Coast, along with Florida's above-average Hispanic support for GOP candidates, explain why Sen. Rick Scott and Gov. Ron DeSantis, both Republicans, defied the "blue wave" in 2018."
Egg, my main concern today is in two parts (1) Democrats look weak if they don't get subpoenas enforced by the courts. (2) Steyer turns into a Ralph Nader to take away enough votes to make a diff, just like Jill Stein.
You are absolutely right. I worked for a Federal agency in the Ozarks I the early 70s and I cringe when I remember the blatant, debilitating discrimination against blacks, in and out of the agency. I have no reason to believe it’s gotten better since then and from what I hear it’s actually gone in the other direction. Some day there will be a day of reckoning for all the selfish, misguided people who have perpetuatedsuch injustice in the name of trump.
I have relatives from the midwest who grew up hating blacks, and seventy five years they still hate blacks. Appearances are deceiving. People may appear to be racially tolerant, but in reality they are not.
I’m not sure if there’s any correlation between Trump supporters and obesity but he’s popular in the 10 most obese states…….. West Virginia (38.1 percent obesity) Mississippi (37.3 percent) Oklahoma (36.5 percent) Iowa (36.4 percent) Alabama (36.3 percent) Louisiana (36.2 percent) Arkansas (35 percent) Kentucky (34.3 percent) Alaska (34.2 percent) South Carolina (34.1 percent)
i think his open and public declaration of biggotry, (however much he tries to declare and deny it at the same time) illustrates his despiration to prevent people from thinking about environment, or even infrastructure, and the link between them. anyone who doesn't realize this is principally just a more extreme iteration of his usual tactic, hasn't been paying attention. not that that gives him any free passes for doing so either.
well no it isn't. we didn't invent the concept of constitutional government nor rule of law. and every "white" person in the western hemisphere, IS a descendant of illegal aliens. humans and other living creatures are more deserving of respect then not. ideologies and nations are mostly the reverse, and i'm sorry, but america is simply no exception to either. trying to make it earn what it pretends to be, is no attack on anything. it is instead, precisely how a democracy works.
A pregnant African American lawmaker in Georgia Rep. Erica Thomas found that out only too well, after she was verbally attacked in a supermarket Friday by a middle-aged white man who used profanity, called her vulgar names and told her to "go back where you came from" as her 9-year-old daughter looked on. Thomas said she was stunned by his anger. "I said, 'Sir, you don't even know me. I'm not lazy. I'm nine months pregnant.'" The incident came days after President Donald Trump tweeted that four congresswomen of color, including U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, should go back to the "broken and crime infested" countries they came from.
Praise The Lord! Let's start enforcement of the damn subpoenas! If the Democrat Committee leadership gets his financial records from the banks we can see how many reimbursement checks were paid to Cohen. We can also see some connections to Jeff Epstein, I am hopeful!
What Trump is doing is easy to figure. He is empowering the long hidden membership of the KKK and all its politically deceptive babies. Don't forget: The full official name of the KKK is The Invisible Empire of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. What Trump& Pence want is a takeover of America's government from the inside-out, by the DEEP STATE of the Invisible Empire. The Republican Party is just a false front for the Deep State of the KKK. The hide behind the false claims of conservatism and Christianity; but, they want the political platform of the KKK. Compare and Contrast the platform of the Republican party with that of the Klan.
They want to bring back the Confederacy. That's why the Invisible Empire of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan exists. When they talk about the Deep State, they laugh, knowing all too well about their Invisible Empire which has effectively infiltrated every part of American government.
