Trump changes his mind again. Citizen question may be back on 2020 census as Trump administration reverses course again By Noah Bierman and David G. Savage Jul 03, 2019 | 3:10 PM | Washington Citizen question may be back on 2020 census as Trump administration reverses course again
Trump doesn't know the name of his own plane, referring to it as 'Aircraft One'. Trump misidentifies Air Force One in carnival-barking tweet announcing cheap stunts to drum up interest in his July 4 spectacle By Travis Gettys July 4, 2019 Trump misidentifies Air Force One in carnival-barking tweet announcing cheap stunts to drum up interest in his July 4 spectacle excerpts: "The president sounded a bit like historic showman P. T. Barnum — to whom he’s often compared — in announcing some of the exhibitions the crowd might expect from the July 4 event in Washington, D.C." "“Perhaps even Aircraft One will do a low & loud sprint over the crowd,” Trump tweeted. “That will start at 6:00P.M., but be there early. Then, at 9:00 P.M., a great (to put it mildly) fireworks display. I will speak on behalf of our great Country!”"
And this after a Supreme Court decision to the contrary! He apparently plans to try to use an executive order to "TRUMP" the courts, which would be a constitutional crisis if anybody gave a damn anymore.
Trump, protesters gear up for an untraditional July Fourth By DARLENE SUPERVILLE and CALVIN WOODWARD July 4, 2019 37 Trump, protesters gear up for an untraditional July Fourth excerpts: "Not since 1951, when President Harry Truman spoke before a large gathering on the Washington Monument grounds to mark the 175th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, has a commander in chief made an Independence Day speech to a sizable crowd on the Mall." "Trump and the event’s organizers could be on the hook to reimburse the government millions of dollars if he goes into campaign mode, in violation of federal appropriations law and the Hatch Act, which bars politicking on government time, said Walter Shaub, who left the Office of Government Ethics in 2017 after clashing with the White House over ethics and disclosure issues. Washington has held an Independence Day celebration for decades, featuring a parade along Constitution Avenue, a concert on the Capitol lawn with music by the National Symphony Orchestra and fireworks beginning at dusk near the Washington Monument. Trump altered the lineup by adding his speech, moving the fireworks closer to the Lincoln Memorial and summoning the tanks and warplanes."
A true Trump adherent: Love Trump like you would a spoiled baby. Trump, protesters gear up for an untraditional July Fourth excerpt: “We think that he is making this about himself and it’s really a campaign rally,” said Medea Benjamin, the organization’s co-director. “We think that he’s a big baby. ... He’s erratic, he’s prone to tantrums, he doesn’t understand the consequences of his actions. And so this is a great symbol of how we feel about our president.” Protesters also handed out small Trump-baby balloons on sticks. Molly King of La Porte, Indiana, a 13-year-old Trump supporter in sunglasses and a “Make America Great Again” hat, happily came away with one. “They’re making a big stink about it but it’s actually pretty cute,” she said. “I mean, why not love your president as you’d love a baby?”
According to a TV documentary about that environmental disaster in Pittsburgh, a boss of the plant was talking down on a concerned worker as the disaster was about to unfold and made a remark to the effect of, "See that dark smoke? That's our money!"
Trump made a weird error in his speech after the bit he did for the Marines. He spoke of Army sergeant Alvin York (played brilliantly by Gary Cooper) and said he refused to give ground to Nazis. York served active duty from 1917-1919. He wasn't dealing with Nazis. And yes, I KNOW I'm not supposed to post here. Sue me.

The film with Gary Cooper was released in 1941. Perhaps Trump or his handlers assumed it was about WWII.
Trump also made strange remarks about airports during the Revolutionary War and 'rockets red glare' as if that phrase in the national anthem was referring to the Revolutionary War. Donald Trump trips up on history in 4th of July speech, mentions airports during Revolutionary War David Jackson, USA TODAY July 4, 2019 Donald Trump trips up on history in 4th of July speech, mentions airports during Revolutionary War excerpts: ""Our Army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over airports," Trump said of the fighting force created by the Continental Congress in 1775. There was no air travel in 18th Century America. One other note: The battle at Fort McHenry that inspired Francis Scott Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner" took place during the War of 1812, not the American Revolution." ref: The Donald Trump Score Card
DeVos wipes out law requiring private schools to report debt and earnings data to prospective and current students. In 2017 over 750 private schools failed to provide an adequate education by these standards. Sorta like Trump University.
History has never been the Donald's forte, but the comment about the airports in the Revolutionary War goes beyond the usual "gaffe" category into world class stupid. Maybe he says stuff like that to distract us so that other disinformation will slip under the radar.
Trump University wasn't even a university. But its students did receive a very good lesson on what it's like to get scammed. Trump University Trump University - Wikipedia excerpt: "The organization was not an accredited university or college. It conducted 3 and 5 day seminars (often labelled as "retreats") and used high pressure tactics to sell these to its customers.[3] It did not confer college credit, grant degrees, or grade its students.[4] In 2011, the company became the subject of an inquiry by the New York Attorney General's office for illegal business practices that resulted in a lawsuit filed in 2013."
As much as I would like to see Don's tax returns, I'm just as curious to see his college transcripts.
Yea, but he's old enough and American enough to know the difference even IF some staff writer screwed the pooch. What's weird is nobody seems to be calling him on this bit of stupidity. I mean for Christ's sake, it's Gary Fucking COOPER!!!! (Dealing with the fucking Kaiser's troops)
People are pretty much resigned to Trump's stupidity and ignorance. And bad manners. And bullying. And sexual misconduct. And narcissism. And love of tyrants. And. And. And....
Yes, Trump University Was a Massive Scam By Ian Tuttle February 26, 2016 10:18 PM Trump University: Yes, It Was a Massive Scam | National Review excerpts: "Many people believe that higher education is a de facto scam. Trump University, Donald Trump’s real-estate institution, was a de jure one. First thing first, Trump University was never a university. When the “school” was established in 2005, the New York State Education Department warned that it was in violation of state law for operating without a NYSED license. Trump ignored the warnings. (The institution is now called, ahem, “Trump Entrepreneur Initiative.”) Cue lawsuits." "Meanwhile, Trump — who maintains that Trump University was “a terrific school that did a fantastic job” — has tried to bully his opponents out of the suit. Lawyers for Tarla Makaeff have requested a protective order from the court “to protect her from further retaliation.” According to court documents, Trump has threatened to sue Makaeff personally, as well as her attorneys. He’s already brought a $100 million counterclaim against the New York attorney general’s office."
Trump blames teleprompter malfunction for 'airport' gaffe. Trump says malfunctioning teleprompter to blame for ‘airport’ gaffe in July 4th speech By Adam Shaw | Fox News July 5, 2019 Trump says malfunctioning teleprompter to blame for ‘airport’ gaffe in July 4th speech excerpt: "Trump said the prompter went out right in the middle of the sentence in question."
