Thanks for clarifying the extent to which you mischaracterized the story. Do you not see a difference between a report that the Republican controlled Senate hasn't yet found direct evidence of a conspiracy and your statement "So NPC news now comes out and says Russiagate was all a hoax"? If that's the reckless way you deal with news, how can we trust anything you say?

Well this is old news. A couple days anyway.
Here's the Democratic response to Republican Richard Burr.
We know the Russians attacked our system in favor of electing Trump, we know his campaign chairman Paul Manafort, shared campaign polling data with Russian intelligence, we know Trump asked Russia to illegally interfere with the election process, we know Trump has given away state secrets to Russia, we know he has met multiple times in secret with Putin after being elected, we know he wanted to build a hotel in Russia and promised Putin the penthouse, we know his son, son in law, and Paul Manafort met with the Russians in an attempt to collude to alter the outcome of the elections, we know Trump lied about the meeting, we know his campaign manager and numerous other Trump associates are going to prison for various offenses tied to the Russians...and we know Trump has a pro Russian agenda in regards to NATO, Syria and the Ukraine. Etc., etc.

We know no crime need to be proven for impeachment.
We know no direct evidence is needed to prove conspiracy. In fact direct evidence is not needed to find anyone guilty of anything, circumstantial evidence will do.
And we know that if the shoe were on the other foot and this was Obama he would have already been impeached.

The Republicans and Trump's supporters wouldn't accept Trump's own admission of conspiracy with the Russians. Burr is blowing hot air in an effort to shield Trump.

He is now a "beta" to his voters. I think it's funny they are turning on him. He has totally lost his image and that kind of voter does not respect him anymore.

I don't know what they expect though. You will not find someone more openly racist and willing to cut his nose off to spite his face a nice alpha trait to own libs. He is the average old man watching Fox News and he does what they want. Other Republicans can be as racist but not as willing to make stupid moves.

Protests planned against Trump's national emergency over the border wall
    Christal Hayes, USA TODAY
    Published 11:41 a.m. ET Feb. 16, 2019

Protests planned against Trump's national emergency over the border wall

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON – Protests across the nation are planned Monday in response President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration.

The protests are being planned from New York and North Dakota to California and Texas all to counter the order Trump signed Friday, which freed up billions to construct a wall along the southern U.S. border with Mexico.

The national emergency and other measures will free up $8 billion – far more than the $5.7 billion he initially demanded – to garner funds for 234 miles of wall, the White House said. It's a move that is almost guaranteed to draw the White House into a lengthy legal battle over the president's ability to use his executive powers for that purpose."

Ann Coulter has gone from her 2016 book titled “In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!” to saying “The only national emergency is that our president is an idiot.”

Her next book will be titled: "In Idiocacy We Trust: E. Pluribus Gullibility"

    Trump failed multiple times.

He didn't uphold his promise to make Mexico finance his wall. Then he talked as if he would pay back the U.S. taxpayers after he would get Mexico to pay for it later. His lack of paying back his U.S. bank loans in his real estate business is an indicator of how much the taxpayers can trust him.

He couldn't make the U.S. taxpayers to pay for it directly in a budget spending bill, even after his extortion tactics of ending of DACA, separating young children from their migrant parents, and initiating a 35-day government shutdown..

He claimed without justification that his administration's revision to NAFTA made money that could be used for the wall. If that's factual, he shouldn't have to force U.S. taxpayers to pay for it but should instead draw funds from his claimed extra NAFTA money.

He ended up resorting to trying to use repurposed U.S. taxpayer money via circumvention of the U.S. Congress, which a recent Fox headline claimed as Trump winning a strategic victory.

I think some of the Republican culture is be the underdog. They are happier saying if only our policy was put in place America is fine. When it is and we see they fail from an economic standpoint they turn on the person putting them in place as if they did not do it right. They never ask if the policy was wrong.

They still think trickle down economics works for example. Trump has done everything Fox has said they wanted since the days of Bush 2.

An article about Trump referring to his monument wall in 2015.

The U.S. citizens are still waiting for the $1.5 trillion of spending on infrastructure (and other promises such as great low-cost healthcare for everyone in a healthcare system that has since been crippled by Trump's sabotage). The $10 billion allocated by the Congress and Trump in 2018 for infrastructure is a very small fraction of $1500 billion and can hardly be declared a victory.

Trump on Border: Maybe They'll Call It "The Trump Wall"

    excerpt:

"I'm a great builder. What do I best in life, I build. Your infrastructure is crumbling. Isn't it nice to have a builder? A real builder. So you take precast plank. It comes 30 feet long, 40 feet long, 50 feet long. You see the highways where they can span 50, 60 feet, even longer than that, right? And do you a beautiful nice precast plank with beautiful everything. Just perfect. I want it to be so beautiful because maybe someday they'll call it The Trump Wall. Maybe. So I have to make sure it's beautiful, right? I'll be very proud of that wall. If they call at this The Trump Wall, it has to be beautiful. And you put that plank up and you dig your footings. And you put that plank up -- there's no ladder going over that. If they ever go up there, they're in trouble, because here's no way to get down. Maybe a rope."

Some are much more interested in generating a folk hero who can be perceived as a 'winner', much like the Fox News article posted earlier on this page about Trump supposedly achieving a strategic victory by his circumvention of Congress after failing in all of his other attempts.

    The Donald Trump Score Card

"What the presidents legions of detractors don’t see is that they have made him an underdog. Regular people love to root for the underdog. They are inadvertently making him into a folk hero. If he’s not taken down, and it seems more likely he won’t be, he will have become just about unbeatable."

‘Finish that wall’: Trump seeks to turn his failure to build the wall into campaign rallying cry
By Toluse Olorunnipa , Robert Costa and Josh Dawsey
    February 16, 2019

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ory.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.751dd9cfcb8a

    excerpt:

"“What you’re seeing is the mother of all pivots,” said veteran GOP strategist Mike Murphy, a Trump critic.

He’s trying to turn being outfoxed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) “into a win by creating a rally cry for the reelect campaign,” he said. “For his core base, it’ll ameliorate some of the criticism. But it won’t help him with general-election voters. He’s playing survival politics with his own base and using the illusion of success.”

Trump has been building up to this strategy for much of the past year, as conservative angst mounted over the lack of progress on the wall while Republicans had full legislative control. Democrats took back the House in last year’s midterm elections, all but killing Trump’s chances of securing adequate funding to build hundreds of miles of wall on the border.

The president’s original promise, to make Mexico pay for the wall, also remains unfulfilled, succumbing to a political reality that was long obvious despite Trump’s claims to the contrary."

Thanks to Trump's overhaul of the tax laws for the United States, Amazon will now pay nothing, zero, zilch for tax year 2018 where they made $11, 200,000.000.00 in profit. They didn't pay a penny in taxes the year before that either. I'm waiting for other corporate tax reports, and perhaps Trump's tax returns?

    Their tax rate -1%
In fact they got $129 a million dollar refund.
They pay a minimum wage of $15.00 per hour. That's $30,000 a year.

In Republican controlled Indiana we pay high taxes, we are required to buy ambulance insurance or get stuck with that bill, we pay lots of money for water & sewer & trash directly to the city government even when they don't pick up on time, we can't get social services because we are not White Christians, our car license plate/registration has secret charges which were never approved by the voters, but Mike Pence and Donald Trump gave millions to a company to move 700 factory jobs to Mexico..

'Many of us are concerned': Lawmakers react to Trump's national emergency declaration

'Many of us are concerned': Lawmakers react to Trump's national emergency declaration

    excerpts:

"The president on Friday also signed a bipartisan spending agreement that included more than $1.3 billion for 55 new miles of border fencing as well as money for other border security measures. Trump will now try to divert nearly $7 billion from a combination of military construction projects, counternarcotics programs, and a Treasury Department asset forfeiture fund to build a longer border barrier.

Speaking with CNN's "State of the Union, Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown said the declaration was in violation of the Constitution.

"Well, this is the first kind of emergency we have seen like this that a president has done this," he said. "He couldn't get the Mexicans to build the wall. He couldn't get Congress to vote the money in. ... That's why you see so many Republicans saying don't do this. Republicans are afraid that he's going to take the money from somewhere else and something they care about, but, fundamentally, they think it's a president who failed, who hates to lose, who is acting childish.""
