By withholding government money, Trump is demanding that schools label their restrooms either male or female and that they be used according to the birth gender.

Trump administration to hold back grants from NYC, Chicago, Fairfax schools over trans bathroom policies

    excerpt:

"The U.S. Education Department's Office for Civil Rights had given New York City Schools, Chicago Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia until Tuesday to agree to stop giving students access to locker rooms and restrooms corresponding with their gender identity or risk losing funding for specialty magnet schools.

In letters to the districts Sept. 16, the Education Department's acting assistant secretary for civil rights, Craig Trainor, said the practice violates Title IX, which forbids discrimination based on sex in education. Because the districts did not agree by Tuesday to take remedial action detailed in Trainor's letters, the department said, Trainor will not certify that they are in compliance with federal civil rights law, making them ineligible for the grants."

The Trump administration refers to inclusion policies as ideological indoctrination.

    excerpt:

"The Department will not rubber-stamp civil rights compliance for New York, Chicago, and Fairfax while they blatantly discriminate against students based on race and sex," department spokesperson Julie Hartman said via email. "These are public schools, funded by hardworking American families, and parents have every right to expect an excellent education—not ideological indoctrination masquerading as `inclusive' policy.'"

Trump will find a way for his military troops to determine on the spot the birth gender of people to ensure they are using what he considers to be the correct gender restrooms, such as tattoing their forearm or hot branding them like cattle.

The Republicans in Congress (who make the laws) would be expected to go along with such a course of action, saying that Trump is simply enforcing the law he concocted.

In other words, the GOP in Congress is acting as the executive branch and enforcing the laws concocted by the 'Trump Congress'.

The conservatives on the U.S. Supreme Court are adjudicating in favor of the 'Trump Congress' which they think has precedence over the real Congress.

In their opinions for the case where the conservatives on the Supreme Court decided that Trump deserves immunity, they tried to justify it by assigning labels to presidential power such as 'exclusive', 'conclusive', and 'preclusive'.

In their view of separation of powers, somehow presidential powers have those attributes but Congress doesn't.

Trump DOJ sued over alleged Tom Homan bribe recording

Donald Trump Jr. says Fox is biased against conservatives.

Donald Trump Jr. swears off 'RINO network' Fox News

    excerpt:

Trump Jr. echoed his father’s Truth Social post from Sunday on Newsmax’s The Chris Salcedo Show and accused Fox News of being Republican in name only.

“That’s what happens when you have sort of a RINO network,” Trump said of Fox News. “They want to be loved. They just want the power. They don’t care. It’s about clickbait.

“I honestly don’t watch it anymore because it is so ridiculous. They try so hard to be unbiased that they’re actually biased towards conservatives at this point. It’s pretty ridiculous. I was banned for 2 1/2 years. I’m barely on anymore. I know my father was banned.”

Leaked memo indicates Trump wants to selectively back-pay furloughed government workers, paying the ones he likes and not payomg the ones he doesn't like.

Oregon’s governor says she told Kristi Noem ‘there is no insurrection in Oregon’ – live | Trump administration | The Guardian

    excerpt:

“Now, as the White House reverses course, the president is threatening to deliberately violate the law; or he is suffering from a debilitating case of legislative amnesia. Either way, he should refresh his memory on the law he signed. And if he chooses to barrel forward anyway, he should get ready for a fight in court,” the Maryland congressman continued.

“The president has no right to just pay the federal workers in his own political camp. That’s a violation of the law and of the First Amendment,” Raskin, a former constitutional law professor, said.

In contrast to his recent rash of the government buying stock in private companies, Trump is considering selling the government's student loan portfolio to the private market.

    excerpt:

"Trump administration officials are exploring options to sell off parts of the federal government’s $1.6 trillion student loan portfolio to the private market, according to three people familiar with the matter."

$15 billion might be enough to offset one quarter.

Trump will need to do this each quarter and find money either through Congress or by declaring yet another emergency.

Trump tries to imitate the Hollywood Walk of Fame at the White House with his golden Presidential Walk of Fame.

When faced with difficult questions, he has bragged about it to reporters, along with his grand White House ballroom project.

Bovino makes such remarks and yet the GOP is upset that they are being likened to fascists, which they say is causing violence against the GOP by Democrats (for which the GOP resorts to even more fascist rhetoric against Democrats).

If that's the case, then why did Trump as commander-in-chief not activate the DC guard for three hours when his supporters were rioting at the Capitol during a real insurrection (not the fake insurrection Miller is accusing a Trump-appointed judge of engaging in by putting a hold on Trump's deployment of the National Guard in Oregon based on the fake claim of 'war-ravaged Portland').

    Is It Really a Coup?

    excerpt:

Monday night, Heather Cox Richardson started her nightly column by explaining that if Republicans wanted to do away with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the federal agency the Trump administration suddenly shuttered over the weekend, they could do that legally. Republicans now control the White House and Congress. There is a 6-3 majority of justices appointed by Republican presidents on the Supreme Court.

But instead of doing it lawfully, with Congress passing a bill for Donald Trump to sign, Richardson writes, “They are permitting unelected billionaire Elon Musk, whose investment of $290 million in Trump and other Republican candidates in the 2024 election apparently has bought him freedom to run the government, to override Congress and enact whatever his own policies are by rooting around in government agencies and cancelling those programs that he, personally, dislikes.”

The GOP in Congress likes doing it that way because the responsiblity is on Trump and not them.

The GOP can still be blamed for being complacent, but they didn't actually cut off the money.

Ex-FBI Director James Comey pleads not guilty after Trump called for his prosecution

    excerpt:

A group of former federal judges warned last week that the case against Comey presented a "grave danger" to the rights and liberties of every American as "President Donald Trump continues to corruptly abuse the power of his office by directing the United States Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to target his critics and his perceived political enemies for investigation and criminal prosecution."
