The clip of G.W. Bush trying to exit a press gathering early through locked doors.

Bush did make a humorous about it. He said he was trying to escape and it didn't work.

Trump would have said the Democrats locked it and would have had the FBI investigate a slew of potential perpetrators and raid their homes and offices.

Conservatives on Supreme Court frustrated with lower court rulings.

Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh warn lower court judges in Donald Trump-related cases | CNN Politics

    excerpt:

“This is now the third time in a matter of weeks this court has had to intercede in a case ‘squarely controlled’ by one of its precedents,” wrote Gorsuch, who was Trump’s first nominee to the high court. (Kavanaugh was Trump’s second.) “When this court issues a decision, it constitutes a precedent that commands respect in lower courts.”

Other conservatives have been just as harsh this year. Justice Samuel Alito in March accused a federal judge in another case involving a Trump policy as committing an “act of judicial hubris” and “self-aggrandizement of its jurisdiction.”

Because it's happening so many times and in so many cases in the courts, perheps the conservatives on the Supreme Court might want to reflect upon themselves and consider that their decisions aren't a reasonable interpretation of the laws.

Does Trump have the power to end mail-in voting? Legal scholar weighs in

    excerpt:

"So, no. First of all, an executive order is an order to the executive branch as to how to carry out the laws. It's not a royal edict. He can't just decree that we don't have mail-in balloting anymore. The Constitution says that each state gets to set its own rules for running elections.

And in Article 1, Section 4, it lets Congress override those rules as to congressional elections. Congress also sometimes acts under its powers, for example, to enforce the 15th Amendment to bar race discrimination in voting.

The President's job is to take care that the laws passed by Congress are faithfully executed. So, he's got a lot of powers in terms of how the federal government might interact with states, but it's primarily states that are running elections. And he has no direct authority over how elections are going to be conducted, whether it's for federal elections or for state and local elections."

    Trump complains about someone's haircut.

Donald Trump obsesses over ABC anchor's hair in scathing rant

    excerpt:

"I just watched Sloppy Chris Christie be interviewed on a ratings challenged “News” Show, “This Week With George Slopadopolus,” on ABC Fake News (By the way, what the “hell” happened to Jonathan Karl’s hair? He looks absolutely terrible!)," the President wrote.

That's the president of the U.S.

Many Americans are still proud about it.

A quick domestic remedy is lacking due to lack of cattle and the years it takes to raise them.

A remedy is to import beef from countries like Brazil, but Trump has imposed a 50% import tariff on Brazil because he's frustrated that his buddy, Bolsonaro, is being held to justice for trying to overthrow a fair presidential election in 2022.

Trump continually inflicts turmoil onto Americans because of psychiatric problems he's having related to people who he mistakenly thinks are being treated unfairly.

    Bolton unleashes on Trump.

Bolton unleashes on Trump Ukraine policy days after FBI raid

    excerpt:

"Collapsing in confusion, haste, and the absence of any discernible meeting of the minds among Ukraine, Russia, several European countries, and America, Trump’s negotiations may be in their last throes, along with his Nobel Peace Prize campaign," Bolton wrote in an op-ed published in the Washington Examiner days after federal agents carried out search warrants on his home and office.

    https://www.npr.org/2025/08/21/g-s1-83915/national-guard-dc-deployed

    excerpt:

"The military mindset is wrong," he said. "The police look at the people in front of them as citizens who may be misbehaving, but they're citizens. The military looks at people out there and sees threats that need to be neutralized, and that can lead to bad things."

Cancian argues that the solution is an increase in local police presence rather than a standing order for the National Guard to patrol the nation's capital.
