U.S. Supreme Court gives deference to Trump, foregoes due process, and foregoes complaints about Trump acting above the law.

Supreme Court lifts limits on Trump deporting migrants to countries not their own

    excerpt:

Sotomayor said that in sending migrants to South Sudan, and in another instance four others to the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and on to El Salvador, the administration "openly flouted two court orders" issued by Murphy. Sotomayor also pointed to the separate Alien Enemies Act litigation in which questions were raised about the administration's compliance with an order issued by a judge in that case.

"This is not the first time the court closes its eyes to noncompliance, nor, I fear, will it be the last," Sotomayor wrote. "Yet each time this court rewards noncompliance with discretionary relief, it further erodes respect for courts and for the rule of law."

...to add to the five Nobel Peace Prizes that he said he thinks he already deserves.

Trump has had much greater difficulty in appealing state cases against him. In those cases he doesn't have the help of the the conservative on the Supreme Court and Judge Cannon in Florida who threw out the federal documents case against him in its entirety.

Trump has tried to tie the state cases he lost to the federal government by stating that the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court gave him presidential immunity and that some evidence in the state cases involves remarks he made to associates while in the White House (the Supreme Court immunity ruling stated that evidence obtained within a president's scope of office can't be used in other cases against him). Trump has gained little traction with that approach so far.

For the federal documents case, Trump's attorneys went in person to the most conservative court in Florida instead of Palm Beach and somehow managed to have the case overseen by Judge Cannon in Fort Pierce.

It looks suspicious to go in person instead of filing the case electronically, as if Trump's attorneys did a back door deal at the courthouse and put Cannon on the case.

Trump's attorneys said they weren't able to file electronically in the court system which would have randomly assigned a judge for the case. His attorneys cited an unspecified 'technical issue' that prevented them from filing electronically. They never stated the details of it. Hundreds of entities went through the court that day electronically with no one else having any technical issues.

At the time, it was anticipated that a jury in Fort Pierce would rule in favor of Trump no matter what. In the end, it turned out far worse. Judge Cannon dismissed the entire case before a trial could ever start and go to a jury.

Aileen Cannon junked decades of precedent and tossed out the espionage case against Donald Trump. This is what anti-democracy looks like.

Detroit teen has been deported to Columbia.

    https://michiganadvance.com/2025/06...-has-been-deported-to-colombia-attorney-says/

    excerpt:

“I’m devastated,” said Kristen Schoettle, who taught Maykol at Western.

“The cruelty of this country really shakes me,” Schoettle said. “This kid, my bright student, was passed along to prisons for a month, scared and facing awful conditions I’m sure, for the crime of what — fleeing his country as a minor in search of a better life? And the US government decided his time was better spent in prison than finishing out the school year.”

The nomination was made in November 2024.

People didn't even have a chance to see if Trump would end Putin's war on Ukraine in 24 hours as he had promised.

Five months into his second term he still has no results, and he has started another war in Iran.

Donald Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by Ukrainian lawmaker

    excerpt:

"It is my belief that Trump has made considerable contributions to world peace, and that he can make more in the future," he wrote, the Kyiv Independent reported.

Trump will throw one of his toddler tantrums at the Ukraine lawmaker who withdrew his nomination.

He might even make some war-like threats because he feels his chance of being awarded a peace prize have been dashed dashed.

America's food security is at risk as Trump forges ahead with mass deportations that will supposedly alleviate a supposed major invasion by alien enemies (who supposedly vote illegally for Democrats by the millions).

'Knock it off!' Trump ally begs ICE to stop raids as farmers panic

    excerpt:

“This move could have devastating consequences for our nation’s food security,” Pennsylvania Farm Bureau President Chris Hoffman said in a statement. “Without a stable, dependable workforce, our fields will go unplanted, our crops unharvested, and our livestock uncared for. The dedicated men and women who work on our farms alongside our farmers are not just employees; they are the bedrock of our food supply chain.
