    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/19/us/california-national-guard-trump.html

    excerpt:

"The appeals court also rejected the state’s contention that the call-up order was illegal because Pete Hegseth, the defense secretary, sent the directive to a general in charge of the National Guard, even though the statute says any such edict must go “through” the governor. The court said the general was Governor Newsom’s agent, and that was good enough."

    Sloppy phone description by Trump.

Unless the Trump family secretly built a U.S. factory, industry experts say the $500 made-in-America smartphone is a fantasy

Unless the Trump family secretly built a U.S. factory, industry experts say the $500 made-in-America smartphone is a fantasy

    excerpt:

"The product page for the phone is also riddled with errors and omissions. It described the device as having a “5000mAh long life camera” (it should say “battery,” an error that was subsequently fixed) and “12GB Ram storage” (RAM is generally referred to as memory, since any data stored in RAM is erased when the device is switched off), while neglecting to disclose an all-important piece of information: the kind of chips that will go into it."

Trump doesn't even know how to set up a loom to make the ties he imports from Bangladesh and sells at Macy's.

How is he going to manufacture a cell phone in the U.S.

The U.S. made Purism phone costs $650 to produce and retails for about $2,000.

History suggests the GOP will pay a political price for its immigration tactics in California | Opinion

    excerpt:

"There is precedent for the use of immigration as a sinister political tool. In 1994, California Gov. Pete Wilson, a Republican, won reelection by getting behind Proposition 187, an anti-immigrant ballot measure that would have barred undocumented students from the public schools, denied them any and all public benefits, and required police officers to verify the immigration status of everyone they encountered.

Although the initiative passed by a 2 to 1 margin, a court declared the law unconstitutional and held that it intruded on the federal power to regulate immigration.

Prop. 187 marked the death knell of the Republican Party in California (as well as Wilson’s political career). Latinos mobilized, immigrants naturalized and voter turnout soared. They elected Democratic legislators in record numbers, including many Latinos. California would later declare itself to be a sanctuary state."

    In about two weeks.

Leavitt Gets Skewered on Trump’s Bogus ‘Two-Week Deadlines’

    excerpt:

The last two-week deadline Trump set came on May 28, with regard to determining whether Russian President Vladimir Putin actually wants peace against Ukraine. It came and passed last week with no acknowledgment from the president.

On April 24, Trump used the two-week line to evade a reporter’s question about aid to Ukraine. Three days later, asked whether he trusted Putin, the president said, “We’ll let you know in two weeks.”

And on May 19, Trump was asked whether Ukraine had done enough to foster negotiations. “I’d rather tell you in about two weeks from now because I can’t say yes or no,” Trump said.

Fruit and vegetables just rotting in the field. Farmers just plowing over their crops just to take the loss. Yep, I bet our farm community is pleased as punch that they voted him in....and if you lined up ten of them, nine would say he is doing a fantastic job.....fantastic job in brainwashing...

Polls are dropping, although I did see Trump's own poll numbers giving himself a 98% approval rating. Some things I'm reading say that Trump is weakening, and support is beginning to drop. 147 days in, and this is what we are seeing? Other reports indicate his health, both physically and mentally, and his stamina, are also declining. It is hard to gage what is true anymore.
    What do you think?

So Trump said there are too many non-working holidays and that workers don't want so many, cause they'd rather be working.... And he says this on Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the freeing of slaves.

Seems that hasn't gone down well in MAGAland as one by one the once faithful awaken to the con.
