Trump compared to 'toddler' whose 'latest shiny toy' is actually 'very dangerous' excerpt: "To me, this is one of the mysteries of Donald Trump because on one level it seems like he’s spending an awful lot of time on things that just don’t seem critical to American interest," she stated. "He cares a lot about the Kennedy Center, he cares a lot about the design of the Rose Garden and things that — given that we’re facing a world on fire — just seem so trivial." With that in mind, she noted the danger of world leaders being forced to sink to Trump's level.
Trump's battles usually aren't military but rather psychological, many of them stemming from his pathological state of mind, such as retaliating against people and groups for transgressions against him, real or perceived. Some are childish, such as his perception of an unjustified conservation of water in California that he tried to remedy by dumping and squandering a couple billion gallons of water from dams in CA so that he could claim he won a fictitious water war. Others violate Consitutional rights and are used to intimidate people, such as his retaliation against a women student who was a co-author of a paper submitted to a university that stated what Israel was doing to Gaza was tantamount to genocide. She was in ICE detention for over six weeks and released after a judge ordered it last week. His deportation of Garcia to a terrorist prison in El Salvador had no legal basis, was based on photo-shopped tattoos (that isn't proof of criminal behavior even if they were real), and was admitted by his own administration as a mistake. Yet he refuses to return him to the U.S. He deported over two hundred people quickly before due process could be applied and later claimed that, because it involves, in his mind, foreign policy, he has privilege to not disclose information about it needed by advocacy attorneys for the targets of his retribution because it involves foreign policy. It's not known how many of those people were wrongly deported. He has said that he has his attorneys looking into whether he can deport U.S. citizens.
