Oh come on, he's not fat....he's 6 foot 4 and only 220 lbs.... The thing is, he really believes it. I bet he is like 270lbs with that lard ass. However, that is to our benefit. "Gosh, I don't know what happened to him, he just keeled over on the third tee on his second round this weekend, grabbing his chest....gasping out his last....and nobody on the staff would give him CPR...."

Trump changed his mind today after the jobs report for April was better than expected.

    Currently, it's due to Trump.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/24/politics/trump-ukraine-war-frustration

    excerpt:

"Donald Trump is doing a better job of destroying the United States than Russia, China, Iran and North Korea combined. He’s cratered the economy, alienated international allies, and treated the Constitution like a joke. But a lesser, though still serious, impact is his ongoing destruction of the tourism industry.

International visitors vacationing in the United States bring in hundreds of billions of dollars each year, but with the advent of Trump, their numbers are dwindling fast. And, frankly, who can blame them? There have already been several disturbing stories of people being dragged away at border control, thrown in a private detention center, and only being allowed to fly home weeks later."

Trump says Putin made a big concession by not taking all of Ukraine.

That supposedly means that Zelensky should let Putin have all the Ukraine territory he did steal and be glad he didn't steal all of Ukraine.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/24/politics/trump-ukraine-war-frustration

    excerpt:

“You don’t know what pressure I’m putting on Russia,” Trump snapped. “We’re putting a lot of pressure on Russia, and Russia knows that.”

Trump then argued that “it takes two to tango, and you have to have Ukraine want to make a deal, too.”

Moscow, he said, has already made a substantial concession by not “taking the whole country.”

“Stopping the war,” he said, is a “pretty big concession.”

In Trump's mind, it's now Zelensky who has to make a concession like Putin by letting Putin have the rest of Ukraine in addition to what he already stole.

Senate Republicans raise red flags about Trump's private dinner with his meme coin holders

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — Some Senate Republicans are raising concerns about an exclusive dinner and White House tour President Donald Trump is offering top investors in his $TRUMP meme token.

“This is my president that we’re talking about, but I am willing to say that this gives me pause,” said Sen. Cynthia Lummis, of Wyoming, who has been spearheading a legislative push on cryptocurrency regulation in the Senate.

The official website for Trump’s meme coin announced last week that the top 220 holders of the coin are invited to an “intimate private dinner” with the president at his golf club outside of Washington, D.C., later this month. The top 25 investors will also receive an invitation to a “VIP White House Tour” the following day, according to the website. The $TRUMP meme coin surged more than 50% after the dinner news broke, boosting its total market value to $2.7 billion."

During Trump's first term, at least some debate occurred about him using the White House for his personal gain.

At a press gathering, Trump had piles of papers on a table that supposedly proved he had turned control of his his businesses over to his sons.

This time he's using the White House outright and shameless and not even discussing it, and the public and press seem to be accustomed to it.

Trump Ends Chinese Tariff Loophole, Raising the Cost of Online Goods

    excerpt:

"Goods that come into the United States from China via private carriers like DHL or FedEx will be subject to tariffs of at least 145 percent — for example, adding $14.50 of duties to a $10 T-shirt. But shipments that come in through the Postal Service face either a tariff of 120 percent of the value of the goods or a fee of $100 per package, which increases to $200 in June."

Trump Ends Chinese Tariff Loophole, Raising the Cost of Online Goods

    excerpt:

"The Trump administration on Friday officially eliminated a loophole that had allowed American shoppers to buy cheap goods from China without paying tariffs. The move will help U.S. manufacturers that have struggled to compete with a wave of low-cost Chinese products, but it has already resulted in higher prices for Americans who shop online."

Trump administration says that the lack of evidence that deportees are terrorists is evidence that they are terrorists.

Judge in Texas rules Trump's use of Alien Enemies Act for deportations 'exceeds the scope' of the law

    excerpt:

An official with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement acknowledged that "many" of the men deported on March 15 lack criminal records in the United States -- but said that "the lack of specific information about each individual actually highlights the risk they pose" and "demonstrates that they are terrorists with regard to whom we lack a complete profile."

Judge in Texas rules Trump's use of Alien Enemies Act for deportations 'exceeds the scope' of the law

    excerpt:

"Allowing the President to unilaterally define the conditions when he may invoke the AEA, and then summarily declare that those conditions exist, would remove all limitations to the Executive Branch's authority under the AEA, and would strip the courts of their traditional role of interpreting Congressional statutes to determine whether a government official has exceeded the statute's scope. The law does not support such a position," he wrote.

Judge in Texas rules Trump's use of Alien Enemies Act for deportations 'exceeds the scope' of the law

    excerpt:

Trump's proclamation had alleged that Tren de Aragua was a "hybrid criminal state" invading the United States. Though Trump's proclamation claimed that Tren de Aragua members "harmed lives" in the U.S., it did not provide any evidence to suggest the gang did so in an "organized armed attack," according to Judge Rodriguez.

"The Proclamation makes no reference to and in no manner suggests that a threat exists of an organized, armed group of individuals entering the United States at the direction of Venezuela to conquer the country or assume control over a portion of the nation. Thus, the Proclamation's language cannot be read as describing conduct that falls within the meaning of 'invasion' for purposes of the AEA," he wrote.
