Once again, it's like the psychology experiment where the monkey has the choice between staying with the soft fuzzy mama monkey doll with no milk or the hard wire monkey doll that has the milk. Eventually, the monkey would go to the uncomfortable doll to obtain the milk.

Trump has to keep his thrill going. His tariff threats and imposition are not likely to end. Trump is always looking for his next school playground drama queen fight to try to protect his eggshell ego.

In the 90's he was fighting with the local officials of Palm Beach and accusing them of being un-American about an over-height flag pole at Mar-a-Lago as a way for him to try to obtain something else he wanted.

Now he's dictating to the world to bow to him. His latest is telling Europe it has to comply with his anti-DEI mentality or it will lose U.S. government funding.

It's similar to his withholding of U.S. government money from Ukraine during his first term to coerce the leader of Ukraine to run a public smear campaign on Biden for the 2020 election, which caused his first impeachment (the one that Sen. Susan Collins thought made him learn his lesson and not start trouble again).

Musk is on the receiving end of Trump's tariff war and is getting a taste of what it's like to be on the receiving end of his firings of government workers. He's receiving a response by the general public about his firings of government workers.

Musk was crying last week about the vandalism being done to his Tesla vehicles, which to some seems minor compared to all of the lives he has wrecked with his baseless, en masse firings of government workers and showing his callous joy in it by prancing around a stage with a giant chain saw.

It was one of the sleaziest sellouts Trump made during his first term.

He was running out of time with the 2020 election approaching and wanted to make it look like he fulfilled a 2016 campaign promise of exiting from Afghanistan, so he implemeted a slapdash exit.

At a press gathering, Trump was asked why he was siding with the Taliban instead of the legitimate government. Trump gave a waffled response and kept saying he just didn't like the leader of the established government. Trump at various times said the Taliban are tough and smart.

It's a repeated behavior of Trump. He sides with the strongarms, unofficial actors, and even terrorist organizations if they are to his personal.liking. He has embraced various strongarms autocrats, so many that he has mixed up their names (Putin, Duterte, Erdogan, Orban, Xi). His latest love affair is with the strongarm of El Salavador who's been accepting Venezuelans whom Trump has deported.

Trump continued to capitalize off the mess he created. During the 2024 election, he did a sleazy PR stunt at Arlington cemetery with some of the relatives of the service members who had been killed in Afghanistan. Such a stunt wasn't permitted at Arlington, but Trump did it anyway. His entourage physically rammed its way through a cemetery employee who tried to stop it. The Pentagon acknowledged the incident but didn't take action against Trump for it.

The staffer whom Trump's entourage shove aside was a member of the Army.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2024/08/29/trump-arlington-cemetery-altercation/

    excerpt:

"A senior Trump staffer who handles advance work for the campaign told the cemetery employee that the former president’s team had permission to film, while the employee said they did not and blocked the path, said others familiar with the altercation. At that point, the aides shoved past her with the camera, berating her, and accompanied Trump to film him at the gravesites, these people said.

After the incident, the Trump staff members would not answer questions from personnel on-site about what had happened with the cemetery employee and refused to exit a press van when they were asked to do so, said people familiar with the matter."

In 2024 Strzok and Page were awarded compensation by a court for damage that Trump did to them.

    Peter Strzok - Wikipedia

    excerpt:

"Strzok filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the DOJ and the FBI in federal court on August 6, 2019, asking to be reinstated and awarded back pay. He argued that the Justice Department had terminated him because of "unrelenting pressure" from Trump over his comments in private text messages. Strzok asserted in the suit that his sentiments were "protected political speech," that the DOJ had violated his privacy by releasing his texts to the media, and that his termination violated the First Amendment.[101] He alleged that the Trump administration had "consistently tolerated and even encouraged partisan political speech by federal employees", but only if that speech lauded the president and denounced his opponents. He said his removal was "part of a broader campaign against the very principle of free speech ... initiated and led by" Trump. The Justice Department and FBI spokeswomen declined to comment.[17] In February 2023, federal judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled that Trump and FBI director Christopher Wray could be questioned under oath regarding the suit.[102]

His lawsuit was consolidated with that of Lisa Page, who in December 2019 sued the FBI and Justice Department, accusing them of violating the Privacy Act. In May 2024, Strzok and Page reached a tentative settlement with the Justice Department.[103] On July 26, it was revealed that Strzok will receive $1.2 million and Lisa Page will receive $800,000.[104] "

The man who designed that hat for Melania could have first put an image of it into Google image search. The Hamburglar would have been first on the list.

It would have prevented the embarrassment.

The staggering price of a new i-Phone after Trump's tariffs.

Staggering price of new iPhone after Trump's tariffs | Daily Mail Online

    excerpt:

"The price of an iPhone is set to skyrocket under President Donald Trump's 'Liberation Day' tariffs crackdown, experts have warned.

The cost of producing the latest model of its popular smartphone is set to surge from $580 to $850, TechInsights analyst Wayne Lam told The Wall Street Journal.

This is because Apple manufacturers its iPhone in China, which has been hit with a staggering 54 percent tax on its imported goods.

The tech giant would likely pass these inflated costs onto the consumer, taking the price of a 256GB iPhone 16 Pro from $1,100 to an eye-watering $3,500, according to Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives."

After gasoline prices in the U.S. dropped because of Covid and Trump's botched response, some of Trump's supporters said, 'Thanks Trump!"

They can thank him again for all the expected price hikes due to his tariff wars.

All the ultra-billionaires who were standing behind Trump as he took his oath of office in January 2025 can do another gathering with him to celebrate his tariff war 'Liberation Day'.

There didn't appear to be any farmers at Trump's oath of office ceremony. Or anyone else that could be construed as working class, the left-behinders that Trump supposedly loves and and is going to make wealthy.

For those who are thinking that Musk and Trump better not mess with their social security, they aleady are.

Doge’s attack on social security causing ‘complete, utter chaos’, staff says

    excerpt:

He said he was concerned the situation was creating a “negative feedback loop” where, as more employees leave, more work is put on those remaining, depressing morale and inducing more to leave “until the agency ends up in a death spiral with staffing, inducing office closures”.

“You’re going to see a wholesale collapse in the agency’s service structure. Call wait times will skyrocket, wait times for appointments, processing times, all of it going to skyrocket because there won’t be enough people to do the jobs, which opens the door to privatization.”

Dow futures fall 1,400 points Sunday as Trump tariff market collapse worsens: Live updates

    excerpt:

This follows a market wipeout to end last week:
    • The Dow posted back-to-back losses of more than 1,500 points for the first time ever, including a 2,231-point shellacking on Friday.
    • The S&P 500 dropped 6% on Friday for its worst performance since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020. The benchmark lost 10% in two days, pushing it to more than 17% below its February record, perilously close to a 20% bear market.
    • The Nasdaq Composite entered a bear market Friday — down 22% from its record — after losses on Thursday and Friday of nearly 6% apiece.

Trump says he's not backing down on his tariffs.

The Nikkei 225 index has dropped 8% after last week's drop in the U.S. markets.

Trump says he's not backing down on tariffs, calls them 'medicine' as markets reel

    excerpt:

“I spoke to a lot of leaders, European, Asian, from all over the world,” Trump said. “They’re dying to make a deal. And I said, we’re not going to have deficits with your country. We’re not going to do that, because to me a deficit is a loss. We’re going to have surpluses or at worst, going to be breaking even.”
