U.S. attorney Martin, nominated by Trump, was part of Trump's mob that threatened members of Congress and Pence.

Now Martin is praising himself as the 'Guardian Of Federal Workers' and starting inquiries against Democrats.

U.S. Attorney Casts Office as ‘Guardians of Federal Workers’

    excerpt:

The central theme of Mr. Martin’s message was that he would not tolerate threats against anyone working for the federal government. Still, Mr. Martin, a Trump loyalist who was in the mob outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has proved to be somewhat selective about which government employees deserve his protection.

“We are the D.C. U.S. attorney’s office; we are the guardians of federal workers,” he wrote. “You and I must do whatever possible to assure government work is safe for all involved. We must protect our cops, our prosecutors, our DOGE employees, the President, and all other government employees.”

Trump labe;s Musk's unknown government position as 'patriot'.

'Dark MAGA' spreads as conservatives embrace Musk's influence on Trump

    excerpt:

Trump on Saturday posted on Truth Social that he “WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM GET MORE AGGRESSIVE.” During his speech, Trump trivialized complaints that Musk does not have an official role in his government despite his strong influence on decisions during his first month in office.

“People said ‘well, what official position does he have?’ I say patriot,” Trump said.

Trans star of hit HBO series says renewed passport now says male after Trump order

    excerpt:

"Hunter Schafer, a transgender actor and star of the HBO series "Euphoria," revealed that her new passport was issued with a male gender marker because of an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.

Schafer, 26, posted a video on social media detailing how her passport had been stolen while she was filming in Spain. After receiving an emergency passport, she later had to apply for a new, permanent one in Los Angeles. Schafer, who transitioned to female when she was a teenager, said her original passport identified her as female, but the new one she received marked her as male."

Considering Trump's 'grab 'em by the crotch' mindset and conduct, he will ban the diversity-embracing 'Horton Hears A Who' and replace it with 'Horton Hires A Ho!'

Trump found to be not in compliance with court order to unfreeze USAID.

Trump is talking as if he is a judge and saying that nearly all of the aid can be terminated because he thinks it's within the terms of the contracts.

Trump administration hasn't complied with order to halt foreign aid freeze, judge says

Earlier this week, the administration said in a notice of compliance that the State Department and USAID had reviewed the thousands of contracts and grants it canceled as part of the aid freeze and determined that “substantially all” of the terminations were allowed under the terms of the contracts.

In response, Ali suggested Thursday that the administration was not fully abiding by his court order pausing the funding freeze and instead searching for new ways to justify its pause on large amounts of aid.

“By enjoining Defendants and their agents from implementing any directives to undertake such blanket suspension, the Court was not inviting Defendants to continue the suspension while they reviewed contracts and legal authorities to come up with a new, post-hoc rationalization for the en masse suspension,” Ali wrote.

Murkowski urges Congress to "stand up" and assert authority if Trump withholds funding - CBS News

    excerpt:

Murkowski separately told CBS News on Capitol Hill earlier Wednesday she has been hearing from constituents who have been worked for the federal government for years or decades. She said she heard from one woman who used to work for her before accepting a position with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Because the woman was recently promoted, Murkowski said, she was considered a probationary employee and was terminated as part of the administration's cuts. Now the woman has a "black mark" on her record, Murkowski said.

"She's been terminated and given no opportunity to appeal it, no opportunity to even think about it," Murkowski said. "You get a notice on Friday saying you're gone. Now that, to me, doesn't demonstrate much due process. But even more, it doesn't show respect for those who have worked hard as federal servants."

As Trump Turns Toward Russia and Against Ukraine, Republicans Are Mum

    excerpt:

"Even Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the former party leader who worked to establish himself as a principal Republican voice in support of Ukraine and a counterweight to Mr. Trump’s “America First” approach to foreign policy, has remained publicly silent in the face of the president’s move toward Russia.

It is a striking turn for Republicans, who for decades defined themselves as the party of a strong defense and argued that the United States had a pivotal role to play as a beacon of freedom and defender of democracies around the globe."

Trump plans to impose 25% tariffs on auto, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor imports.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/19/economy/us-new-tariff-plans-trump-intl-hnk/index.html

    excerpt:

"For tariffs on semiconductor chips and drugs, he told reporters at his resort in Mar-a-Lago, Florida that he intended to eventually increase the rate even more.

“It’ll go substantially higher over a course of a year,” he said. But he added that he wanted to give time for potentially affected companies to bring their factories to America to avoid tariffs.

“They’re Scared Shitless”: The Threat of Political Violence Informing Trump’s Grip on Congress

    excerpt:

In the past week, Donald Trump has signaled a desire to rule like a strongman rather than a president constrained by constitutional norms. Last Friday, Trump’s vice president, JD Vance, scolded democratic NATO allies and met with the leader of Germany’s extreme-right AfD party. On Saturday, Trump declared on social media: “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.” This Tuesday, Trump blamed Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the brutal war that was launched by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. “You should have never started it,” Trump falsely said of Zelenskyy, when in fact Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The US president then doubled down on the feud Wednesday, calling Zelenskyy a “dictator.”

Trump warns Zelenskyy to quickly negotiate war's end with Russia or risk not having a nation to lead

    excerpt:

“Why should dominance be handed over to a country that is an aggressor, a violator of international law, and the author of aggression against Ukraine?” said Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Zelenskyy. “We still do not understand this strategy.”

U.S. and Russian officials meeting in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday agreed to negotiate a settlement to an end to the war. Ukrainian and European officials were not included.

Trump said Zelenskyy should have worked out a deal earlier. “Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left,” Trump said.
