Trump is known for suing banks for supposedly treating him unfairly after they tried to collect their loan money that he refused to pay.

He's known for not accepting the results of the 2020 election because of what he says was fraud.

Now it seems he wants to use this approach on the U.S. national debt, money that the public loaned to the government and expects to be returned.

‘We will last six months’ if Trump pulls US military aid from Ukraine

    excerpt:

"There are political complications that could interfere with European support.

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Slovakia’s PM Robert Fico, both sceptical of military aid to Kyiv, could block EU-wide decisions. Meanwhile, Germany’s far-right AfD party is surging in the polls, further complicating Europe’s ability to act decisively.

Alternative for Germany (AfD) is anti-immigration, anti-European Union, and often pro-Putin. There are concerns it could push for an end to Berlin’s aid to Kyiv and the deportation of Ukrainian refugees."

    excerpt:

“I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe,” Trump posted online Tuesday.

Zeldin is the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. The Energy Department — not EPA — is responsible for establishing efficiency standards for consumer products and appliances.

Trump vows to bring back incandescent light bulbs that are no longer manufactured.

    https://www.fastcompany.com/9127859...t-lightbulbs-factories-dont-make-them-anymore

    excerpt:

"The color of the light was different in the early 2000s, when blue-ish LED bulbs were hitting the market. But current LEDs can largely replicate the warmth of light from old incandescent bulbs. The price to incandescents is now also equivalent. LEDs can last for 15 years, rather than the one year that an older bulb might have lasted. They also use 75% to 90% less energy, shrinking the carbon footprint of buildings. A homeowner who switches to LEDs throughout their home can save thousands of dollars over the lifetime of the bulbs."

Trump is acting with partisan intent to dismantle the FBI. He is the culpable actor.

Senate Panel Advances Kash Patel’s Bid for F.B.I. Director Amid Agency Turmoil

    excerpt:

At turns both defensive and accusatory, Mr. Bove insisted that the only agents who should be concerned “are those who acted with partisan intent, who blatantly defied orders from department leadership or who exercised discretion in weaponizing the F.B.I.”

He continued, “There is no honor in the ongoing efforts to distort that simple truth or protect culpable actors from scrutiny on these issues.”

John Durham investigated that issue for years and came up empty, even after Barr made him special counsel and granted him wide latitude for investigating the FBI and other groups.

Durham finally ended his investigation and issued a final report, realizing that he probably wouldn't be given any more money.

The power of special counsel that Judge Cannon in FL ruled doesn't have legitimacy in the federal documents case against Trump.

No legitimacy when Trump is being investigated and prosecuted but legitimacy when Durham is investigating the FBI on behalf of Trump.

Senate Panel Advances Kash Patel’s Bid for F.B.I. Director Amid Agency Turmoil

    excerpt:

"Senator Richard J. Durbin, the top Democrat on the panel, noted that for the past half century, all the F.B.I.’s confirmed directors have been Republicans who tried to keep the bureau above politics. Mr. Patel would be far different, he said, adding, “We are inviting a political disaster.”

Mr. Patel’s easy approval by the Republican-controlled committee comes at a time of great unease within the F.B.I. that the Trump administration will move to punish not just leaders but rank-and-file agents for their roles in investigating Mr. Trump, his allies and those who participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol."

Senate Panel Advances Kash Patel’s Bid for F.B.I. Director Amid Agency Turmoil

    excerpt:

"Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa and the committee’s chairman, said firings were needed at the F.B.I., which was “long overdue for massive reform.”

“Mr. Patel is the man to do it,” he said.

Mr. Patel has vowed to clear out F.B.I. headquarters and turn it into a museum, fire the agency’s leadership and punish what he calls the “deep state” conspiracy against Mr. Trump."

An AP editorial acknowledged the name 'Gulf Of America' that Trump has assigned for the 12-mile strip of coastal waters that are considered domestic territory.

Like nearly all of the countries of the world, AP considers the name 'Gulf Of Mexico' the proper name for international waters.

Trump is upset about that and has banned AP journalists from his events because of it.

Trump's press spokesperson Leavitt said that lying by the media would not be tolerated.

Trump Continues Ban of Associated Press Over ‘Gulf of America’

    excerpt:

Since the president’s order only carries authority within the U.S, and Mexico, as well as other countries, are not required to recognize the name change, the AP stated that it would refer to the Gulf of Mexico “by its original name while acknowledging the new name Trump has chosen.”

Proud Boys Trademark Being Used by Black Church for Shirts

    excerpt:

"The church is already taking advantage of the ruling. The livestream of Lamar’s service on Sunday included a QR code linking to a statement on the ruling, which noted that the church is selling “limited edition” T-shirts featuring the extremist group’s signature black-and-gold laurel around a bold “PB.” The text around the Proud Boys logo, now owned by the church, reads “Stay Proud, Stay Black” on one shirt, and “Stay Proud, Black Lives Matter” on the other. The proceeds go to the church’s community justice fund."

Trump and Musk Are Going to War Against Military Veterans With DOGE

    excerpts:

"This executive order seeks to impose severe hiring restrictions and would disproportionately harm veterans, who make up one-third of the federal workforce. Requiring agencies to hire only one new employee for every four who leave will drastically reduce VA staffing levels. At a time when the veteran population is aging and the VA’s mission has expanded under Joe Biden, this policy will lead to massive delays and outright denials in health care, benefits processing, and disability claims — the essential services veterans depend on to survive."

"The VA is already grappling with severe workforce shortages, particularly in medical and benefits processing roles. This new hiring bottleneck guarantees growing backlogs, delayed care, and increased suffering for veterans. But that may be the goal. If Musk and DOGE aim to dismantle the government, they achieve two objectives at once — denying care to veterans while making the VA so dysfunctional that veterans either forgo medical treatment or are forced into the private sector."

From absurd to disturbing as Trump White House bans AP from important media events - Poynter

    excerpt:

"Collins, however, said, “But isn’t it retaliatory in nature? Is the argument, because the reason that the AP was barred, which they said was because they are not using the phrase Gulf of America, they are using Gulf of Mexico in line with their standards. And so the question here is, is this setting a precedent where this White House will retaliate against reporters who don’t use the language you guys believe reporters should use, and how does that align with the First Amendment commitment that you were just talking about?”

Leavitt responded, “I was up-front on Day 1. If we feel that there are lies being pushed by outlets in this room, we are going to hold those lies accountable, and it is a fact that the body of water off the coast of Louisiana is called the Gulf of America, and I am not sure why news outlets don’t want to call it that, but that is what it is."
