At the press gathering on Tuesday, Trump didn't rule out using military force to take control of Panama and Greenland, citing a possible need to do so for national security.

His remarks for a second term are expansionist compared to the isolationism of his first term and rants against global elites.

Someone started Trump on the U.S. expansionism kick after the election. It wasn't part of his campaign rhetoric. One can speculate that it was wealthy global elites like Musk and people like him hanging out at Mar-a-Lago who have an interest in natural resources in Greenland and a desire to have lower shipping costs through the Panama Canal.

Trump dodges question about whether he would pardon his rioters who attacked police officers.

Trump Suggests U.S. Expansion Into Greenland and Canada: Live Updates

    excerpt:

"Trump was asked what would ordinarily be a straightforward question for a president to answer: Would he pardon any of the Jan. 6 rioters who assaulted police officers — around 140 were injured. Trump responded that the only person who died on Jan. 6, 2021, was Ashli Babbitt, who was shot by a police officer while part of a mob trying to break into the Capitol."

Trump hold press gathering and talks about U.S. territorial expansion.

Trump Suggests U.S. Expansion Into Greenland and Canada: Live Updates

    excerpt:

"Mr. Trump refused to rule out using military force to retake the Panama Canal, which was given back to Panama by treaty in the late 1990s, and Greenland, which Mr. Trump said was necessary for U.S. national security. “It might be that you’ll have to do something,” he said."

Judge Cannon temporarily blocks release of special counsel Jack Smith's report.

In July 2024, Cannon completely dismissed the federal documents case against Trump, ruling that Jack Smith didn't have the authority to prosecute Trump (about two weeks after the Supreme Court ruled that presidents have immunity).

The injunction lasts until the 11th Circuit decides a request to block the release related to issues involving Trump's co-defendants in the documents case.

At his press gathering on Tuesday, Trump seemed to confuse Hezbollah with his Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

Trump may have been doing another one of his (in his mind) brilliant weaves that he says brings all his ramblings together in a fantastic coherent way that proves he's right.

Trump can start a story about the people of Denmark kidnapping and eating the pets of the people of Greenland.

    Map showing Canada and Greenland.

Canada and Greenland rank 2nd and 12th in terms of land area.

Trump would like all of that territory plus Panama under his control.

He also wants Gulf of Mexico renamed Gulf of America.

Trump might as well say, 'What the heck. Let's commandeer the whole Western hemisphere.'

Canadian broadcaster says that being north of the USA is “like living upstairs from a meth lab.”

Course the size of areas close to the poles is grossly exaggerated in this type of projection. In reality Greenland is less than 1/3the size of the US. Bet most Rs T and mangas don’t know this or have the foggiest idea what map projections are.

Yet Trump is threatening Canada with tariffs for not stopping the supposed illegal drugs from Canada coming into the U.S.

Canada should be threatening the U.S. with tariffs for all the second-hand meth smoke drifting into its country from the U.S.

Canadian official floats idea of buying Alaska and Minnesota.

Canadian politician responds to Trump's takeover threats by offering to buy two U.S. states | Daily Mail Online

    excerpt:

'Canada has something called democracy,' the member of Parliament explained in a post to X. 'It means the leader is accountable to Parliament and can be replaced.'

'I bet Americans wish they had that now. And convicted sexual abusers don't get to lead our nation. We're decent folk,' he added in reference to the allegations against the president-elect.

As a convicted felon, Trump will need to submit paperwork to obtain permission to visit Canada due to being a convicted felon.

G.W. Bush had to do it because he had a drunk driving conviction which is considered a felony in Canada.

If Trump buys Canada, it will be part of the U.S. and his felony conviction won't matter.
