    excerpt:

"Our analysis suggests some U.S. voters show an extreme, cult-like loyalty to Trump rather than to a party or policies. Why might citizens in a democratic system show such unquestioning loyalty to an individual leader?

During the 2016 election, Ekins (2017) found that among Trump voters, 31% were “staunch conservatives,” 25% “free marketeers,” 20% “American preservationist,” 19% “antielite,” and 5% “disengaged.” However, we contend that, for the most loyal supporters, Trump's appeal is based more on psychological needs met by his leadership style than on policy preferences or ideology. During the 2016 Republican convention, Trump famously claimed “I am your voice” and “I alone can fix it.” Such claims indicate the sort of leader–follower relationship typical of personality cults."

People like Trump cultivate the illness that's been dormant within the mainstream society. They justify it, reinforce it, amplify it, and spread it throughout the mainstream society.

A presidential candidate and president has a power platform far beyond that of most personality cult figures like Jones and Koresh.

Trump and his handlers are aware of it. Trump held a rally in Waco, TX the week going into the 30th anniversary of the raid on the Koresh compound in Texas. Trump praised the Moonies in a virtual 9/11 anniversary rally. If there was a way for him to capitalize off the Jim Jones cult in Guyana that caused about 909 deaths, Trump would do that also.

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/28/politics/rudy-giuliani-florida-condo-defamation-lawsuit/index.html

    excerpt:

"At the rally, Giuliani hinted at conspiracy theories around Trump’s attempted assassination this summer, but he didn’t address his issues in court or the belief he had repeated many times before that the 2020 election was stolen.

“I’m not going to do conspiracy and I’m not not going to do conspiracy. But it’s kind of funny that they tried everything else and now they’re trying to kill him. They better not try again,” Giuliani said.

He is barred by a court order from repeating false information about Freeman and Moss or insinuating that votes in Georgia in the last election were tampered with."

In the process of deprogramming a follower from a personality cult leader, one of the main steps is to remove the follower from the offending agent.

For Giuliani, Lindell, and the rest of the country, it's difficult to implement because Trump permeates the society at as a national figure and uses social media extensively.

An example of the enhanced susceptibility of people to being duped by a cult leader is the Covid pandemic. A perusing of the comments of various Capitol rioters who were duped by Trump shows that numerous ones mention having extra time on their hands and spending it on reading truther narratives on the web about the 2020 election supposedly being stolen from Trump, narratives that either Trump started himself or that were created by the public that he amplified. The pandemic also imparted a sentiment of frustration and rebellion in some of the public.

The Covid pandemic came at an opportune time for Trump to trick the public. It was one of the contributing factors that led to his riot on January 6.

Judging by his previous remarks about Trump, Nicky Jam talks like he's been in the world for only six months.

    https://www.npr.org/2024/10/28/g-s1...-over-1-million-giveaway-to-registered-voters

    excerpt:

"If you look at the conditions, you must be a registered voter," UCLA election law professor Richard Hasen told NPR. "And so this is essentially a lottery that's open only to people who register to vote. So it’s either an incentive for someone to vote or it’s a reward. And either way, it violates federal law."

Several people in key swing states have already reportedly won the cash prize from signing the petition, which purports to support the constitutional promises of free speech and the right to bear arms.

According to Musk, it's to promote the 1st and 2nd Amendments, not to bribe people to register to vote so that they can vote for Trump.

Musk is targeting only the battleground states that Trump needs to win.

Elon Musk says he’s giving away $1 million a day to voters. Is that legal?

    excerpt:

"The program works like this: Registered voters in Arizona, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, or Wisconsin — all swing states that could go for either Vice President Kamala Harris or Trump come Election Day — can sign the petition, which claims to be a “Petition in Favor of Free Speech and the Right to Bear Arms” until Monday, October 21, which happens to be the voter registration deadline in Pennsylvania."

If the canvassers for Musk look crazy, Musk himself will look crazier.

Musk should go door-to-door and jump up and down on the porch in his all-black outfit that includes a black MAGA hat while yelling "Dark MAGA!"

Or wear a McDonald's apron or a garbage truck uniform like Trump did.

Central Pa. man who drove adult daughter to Capitol riot convicted in child sex abuse case

    excerpt:

"The father of a Mechanicsburg woman accused of stealing Nancy Pelosi’s laptop and convicted of storming the U.S. Capitol is facing criminal charges of his own in two Dauphin County cases.

A Dauphin County jury Tuesday found Rickey Williams, 58, guilty of assaulting and trying to rape a child in 1994. She’d come forward in April of 2021 to report sexual abuse that happened when she was ages 8 to 18.

Williams is also now on trial on allegations he tried to convince a 14-year-old child to send sexual videos of herself."
