McDonald's should keep Trump from going inside the food preparation area.

A judge tossed Giuliani's bankruptcy. Giuliani was never serious about it and was using it as a delay tactic.

Hard to accept and plain hard to believe. But then again, who answers polls?

    https://www.axios.com/2024/10/24/elon-musk-million-dollar-giveaway-doj-warning

    excerpt:

Elon Musk's super PAC did not announce a lottery winner Wednesday in its daily $1 million giveaway that sparked concern from legal experts and prompted a warning from the Justice Department.

Why it matters: The DOJ sent a letter notifying America PAC, Musk's pro-Trump group, that its lottery could violate federal law against paying people to register to vote, per multiple outlets

    • The SpaceX CEO had pledged to give away $1 million every day to registered voters in swing states who sign the super PAC's petition in favor of the First and Second Amendments.
    • Musk endorsed Trump after his first assassination attempt, and Trump has dangled the possibility of Musk heading a government committee to slash regulations if reelected.

Musk requires those signing the petition to be registered voters.

That means some people will register to vote just to have the chance of winning money.

It's an indirect way of paying people to register to vote

Paying people to register to vote explicitly is a violation of federal law.

Nate Silver brought up that issue in a recent interview.

Those who take the initiative to answer a polll may be more inclined to vote for a particular candidate than another, thus potentially introducing a bias in the polling.

Historian Allan Lichtman has a strong disdain for polls, whereas statistician Nate Silver embraces them.

Lichtman relies on the history of presidential election results and the attributes of administrations that won the election going back to the start of the country to determine who he thinks will win an upcoming presidential election.

It's a debate over the value of the immediacy of polling versus relying on historical attributes.

Operating under "Duty to Warn," 233 mental health professionals signed off on a letter to be published in the New York Times, calling Trump an "imminent catastrophic public danger" to the world should he be re-elected based upon recent evidence on display in his public appearances.

In the letter, they asserted, the 78-year old Trump "....exhibits behavior that tracks with the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual’s (DSM V) diagnostic criteria for 'narcissistic personality disorder,' 'antisocial personality disorder,' and'“paranoid personality disorder,' all made worse by his intense sadism, which is a symptom of malignant narcissism."
Source: Imminent catastrophic public danger': Hundreds of doctors sound new alarm about Trump

Unfortunately, MAGA is allergic to shrinks. I doubt they give a flying fuck at this point. They've been drinking the Kool-aid for too long. I bet many are ready to die if he says die for me (again!)

Right wing loons hatch new conspiracy theory stating that the ecoli outbreak is either fake or was withheld so that the timing diminished Trump’s stunt.

Alternative theory is that democrats created it as a threat against McDonalds to keep them from confirming that Harris never worked there.

Forget about the onions. There’s a lot of undiagnosed mental illness out there.

Trump calls America a garbage can.

Trump calls US a ‘garbage can’ in diatribe against immigration in Arizona

    excerpt:

"A banner behind the stage said, “Vote early!” – a change in strategy for Republicans and Trump, who have cast doubt on early and mail-in voting by falsely claiming it is an avenue for widespread fraud. He said of Arizona voting: “They got a problem. Gotta make it too big to rig.” An image of Trump, raised fist and bloodied ear after his assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, showed before he came out. Early on, he displayed on screens behind him the chart of migration that he has attributed with saving his life."

If Gingrich thinks Trump is so good at assessing audience, he should comment on Trump's disaster speech in front of the Boy Scouts of America and the speech he gave at the CIA in front of the Memorial Wall that displays agents who lost their life in the line of duty..

Trump has shown that he has no comprehension of the type of audience he is addressing.

Trump Reportedly Brought His Own Staff to Cheer During C.I.A. Speech

    excerpt:

"Standing in front of the agency’s Memorial Wall of heroes, which honors the C.I.A.’s dead, Trump blamed the press for inventing his feud with U.S. intelligence agencies, claimed his inauguration address drew crowds of about 1.5 million people (despite photographic evidence suggesting well less than a third this number), and engaged in a bizarre digression about his own intelligence (“I’m like, a smart person”). John Brennan, the former director of the C.I.A., released a statement afterward calling Trump’s speech a “despicable display of self-aggrandizement.”"

Trump calls US a ‘garbage can’ in diatribe against immigration in Arizona

    excerpt:

"He sought to tie Medicare and Social Security to immigration, saying the presence of migrants will “obliterate” the two programs, and claimed that Latino and Black people are losing jobs to migrants, an appeal to two of the groups Republicans are trying to win more votes from.

Trump called Biden a “stupid fool” and Nancy Pelosi “crazy as a bed bug”. He said Harris is a “low IQ individual”. He implored women watching to tell their husbands to vote: “Get your fat ass off the couch, you’re going to vote Jimmy, you’re going to vote, we’re going to save our country, Jimmy."
